Pfizer Rx program for retirees

I am retired and have been getting my Rxs at the local CVS pharmacy - a 90 day supply for a 60 day co-pay. Yesterday I received a 90 day supply of one of them without asking for it. I called the number on the bottle just now and they were speaking Spanish. Once I got him over to English he told me that ALL Rxs for Pfizer were now REQUIRED to be filled by mail.

What if you have an infection? Too bad, 7 to 10 days to get an antibiotic. What if the Rx is stolen? They will replace it once, after that you pay the full cost.

Thank you Pfizer - all the lies, all the time.

That's a great idea. Why doesn't Pfizer just start acting as it's own pharmacy and streamline distribution chain profits back to Pfizer? Major chain pharmacies and PBMs are killing the innovative drug industry! Genius test marketing.

You have to remember that NYC leadership views retirees as being the ultimate leeches on their backs.............

Why don't you just have your local CVS mail it to you?

We are not required to get prescritions by mail order. Getting medications through the mail is not much cheaper (sometimes only pennies) than going to CVS or Walgreens, Rite Aid, or where ever. The price of prescriptions is negotiated and is the same at any pharmacy. Why fool around with mail order? Pfizer retirees surely can afford to not "go cheap" on medicine. Also, generics are not mandatory.
