Looking back on my esteemed pharma sales "career" I see how naive and brainwashed I was by Merck..it really is a cult like atmosphere with the sales meetings/launches resembling the Scientology assemblies.
Way back when, it really was a job for the best and the brightest…one of the most prestigious "sales" jobs, (I know it is not really sales) in America…
All those years in it, and I just sort of assumed that everyone in Corporate America made 6 figures for putting in 3 or 4 hours of no brainer work a day and heading home for a 3:00 pm siesta…
Now that I am out in the real world of real jobs, I see how corrupt Merck executives and managers are, and what a total charade the whole thing is…Try earning even half of what Merck pays in the real world outside the crazy, non-sensical world of pharmaceutical companies.
Heck, we were making more than a lot of the doctors, and barely worked…
