I would look to Novartis as a potential suitor. They are gaining a lot of press with their CANTOS study, but still need something more commercially viable in CV. Xarelto is too close to our space so JNJ is probably out. Not many other players that can afford Brilinta or need it. I hear Paul Hudson loves Barcelona too, just sayin.

Only benefits in PCI patients in PLATO are MI and stent thrombosis reduction. CV mortality and stroke are identical between treatment.

Y'all sell a bunch of overspun bullshit.

Prasurgrel significantly reduced MI, stent thrombosis, and was trending toward a reduction in CV mortality in a PCI ONLY patient population. And patients breathe easier. PLATO bleeding muffled the real bleed risk of ticagrelor in urgent CABG.

The news continues to flow and is terrible for the outlook for brilinta! I've already had several doctors mention this Change - Dapt deal..... TOPIC/CHANGE, prasugrel generic. Something's gotta give in this division. Outlook not pretty for hosptial team imo.

Brand team was too stupid to have realized the opportunity two years ago. Now it is too late. PH is interested in adding ticagrelor to his expanding CV division at Novartis. What $ will it take for Astra to part with it? Many of the best CV reps have already left Astra for Novartis. Doubt they would bring commercial over in the deal. Keep your eyes on Novartis for openings.
