Implosion Near Completion

Merck looks to become a Harvard Business Case study. Students in MBA classes in the future will be asked to explain how a once proud company imploded under its own ineptness and share holder blind eyes. It's a landmark case in that how a company will go dark after having a decent run.

In the end, the case will show the why and how if this:

Merck will be bought out in the next 2-3 years only if they can showcase a pipeline of dead and dying products.

RIP MERCK

Indeed. Then Merck will be moved over to the lost civilizations board on cafe pharma. Hey, wouldn't be surprised if we brought in fast Freddie to break up and sell mother.

"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed, you mark my words, will not only save Merck, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the U.S.A."

G. Gekko. Circa 2013

The same thing is happening industry wide. Merck is usually a trendsetter, wait and see the rest follow.

Merck was a trendsetter. But for more than 10 years now it has mostly been a follower. And to show how much it has fallen behind the leaders, the heads of its competitors won't blink an eye at this news, knowing full well the reality that Merck is fundamentally a screwed-up company that is run by stooges. Companies that have hired former Merck employees in any area have been universally impressed at how inept they are. And they vow to never repeat the mistake again. In the old days having Merck on one's resume was employment security; today it is something to be de-emphasized when the rush to get hired is underway. Best of luck to you all. Leadership at Merck ruined life for many many people for many years. In the past this was offset by employability. Today it is only the stain of corporate greed that ex-Merck folks leave with.

Rest assured that the remaining folks will be the creme de la creme of obsiquity and ineptness, further accelerating this ghost ship's submersion.

The critical portion of the case study will center upon the unprofessional, poorly educated, substandard, criminal, and useless salesforce ever hired - long live Mother Merck
