How many Extremity Recon Reps are looking for other Jobs now?

I agree this year has been much different from last year. We have fallen victim to a classic management way of "funding" our sales rep expansion...you guessed it, we are paying for the expansion reps out of our commission dollars. They throw a shitty, unattainable comp plan at us and the $$ which should go to us are allocated to pay for the new reps.

While this sucks, Act 2 of this plan is usually a much better alternative plan next year.

Will do about 1.5 this year, 125k more in sales from last year, but will make less then 150k(40k less than last year), only reason why I'll even make that much is because the old comp plan was in place for the first two months this year. Forget about hitting your quota....didn't only 50% of reps hit q1 quotas???? Q1-q2 is like a 15% increase.

They brag that over 50% of reps hit their quota, but what they don't tell you is how many hit the qualifier to get the "big over quota money" I bet it is less than a third.

I get no support. those above won't listen, my RM doesn't call me back. HIS boss wont return his calls, and the VP talks to no one below the Director level, and even then, maybe he will acknowledge their existence.

WOW... Just saw this thread... This is great! I wasn't sure if everyone felt this way. but I guess so. I have spoken with pretty much everyone in my region and quite a few people outside my region that I've got to know over the years. Literally every single person has their resume "floating"...LOL Integra comp plan sucks. Fortunately, we can pay our bills with Integra Pay Checks until something equal or better comes along.
Huge Pay Cut this year= ZERO MOTIVATION... do I go out and work or just get stuff to my cases??? Yep, I'll relax a little. Theres no way Im hitting my ridiculous un attainable quota and even if I did, Im not hitting my ridiculous metal quota so going over doesn't matter anyway...
At Least Integra looks good on a resume...
Hey Nick, YOUR COMP PLAN SUCKS... Way to come into a company and get everyone jazzed.... Wait... You didn't...

This company is quickly falling apart with recent leadership changes and their bone headed decisions. The board will only act after sales crater which is coming based on the turnover tsunami about to hit.

Just resigned from Stryker because of a significant decrease in commissions. Comp plans have degraded and seems to be an industry trend. Don't think it is better at other companies in this industry...it's just not. This will continue as long as medical device has to play the price game to get into or keep accounts. The loss has to be made up somewhere and comp plans, unfortunately, are part of the equation. Those who will not tolerate a pay decrease are shareholders and upper management. You will have to work harder and sell more than ever just to survive in this industry going forward. The power has shifted to the members of the IDN's and GPO's who will continue to garner executive decision-making power and steer healthcare according to the ACA. The game is getting tougher guys and we are facing some tough decisions ourselves going forward.

They talked at the round table about the sudden 40% turnover... People are leaving but everything I see out there pays $120-130k... Haven't found any great opportunities yet. We'll see what this TEI Biosciences acquisition does... They'll prob find a way to pay us less money again.

So why are you posting on Integra's board? I'm calling bullshit on this. Most likely an RM downplaying that recon is going to shit, that we are all making less money, and likely turnover will continue.

Resigned from Stryker!!!! You donkey, I'd love to hear if you were the territory fluffer or just the bumbling idiot asr that got passed over multiple times for multiple positions within the organization. I know Stryker guys from multiple divisions and all of them make significantly more than the upper 1/3 of recon reps. I'd agree with the above poster...I'm calling BS. The fact of the matter is anyone that's been in recon for 8 mos or longer did not sign on to this comp plan, it was shoved down our throats like the 3 day old pizza sitting in the back of the fridge. If your currently making 80-110, yeah this is a minor upgrade, but once the "Omni" graft is in the WCC you think your gonna get as many skin cases...but no worries we will have 2 total ankles and a frame....that'll boost an additional 15k to your metal number because...well you know, total ankles are so common...bottom line I miss that chia pet Afro mofo...he may have mentally had his way with you but atleast the money was left on the night stand!

Yep, he's a hack. Put him in front of a customer and he doesn't know shit about our business. How can someone lead a salesforce when he knows nothing about what we sell? He's chasing away our veterans and I'm sure having a difficult time recruting solid talent that has current relationships with that shitty comp plan.

Glad I got out. If you only sell skin Run as fast away from this company as fast as possible. Metal is where the money is at but not at integra. Their metal is shit too.

There is no reason for you to be here any longer. The PriMatrix reps will have all your jobs next year...they have the coverage and relationships. Makes sense.

Get your resume out ASAP. People that stick around and gonna be screwed. Don't say I didn't warned you.

Think about it...you are a glorified scrub tech, with a four year degree, also a fed ex driver that wears PJs to work everyday. Dream job? I was the idiot that thought that I wanted to get in surgical sales as my dream job. Covering cases all day is the most boring thing in he world. These new Hires have no idea what they got into. You bring no clinical value to surgeon but getting your product there in time before surgery. Good luck.

Face it, Integra is content to be an extra level training ground with higher than industry average turnover. The recent comp plan changes confirm it. There is risk in staying more than 3-4 years as Integra on your resume doesn't impress. Learn, build relationships and move on.....

I agree that the reps who can't sell metal are hosed. Like all the guys w million dollar burn accounts and they are just couriers. Metal is going to be a necessity because Integra guys are probably going to have some skin product taken away. Or at least not have access to the new products.
Yes that will probably lead to 3rd mass exodus in 2 years.
In all seriousness though Integra has not updated it's metal in years. It is an embarrassment
