Just to lighten the mood here: Why GH should run for Congress.
-Financial mismanagement skills would fit right in.
-Makes promises that he can’t keep or has no intention of keeping.
-Creating programs that there is no money to pay for.
-He would never vote for having a budget, let along actually sticking to one.
-He would immediately declare a debt limit unnecessary and mortgage the State of Alaska, the money of which would fund his new experimental laboratory located in Bermuda.
-He would be unabashed about passing laws for his direct benefit: “On the floor today is a bill to carve out a part of Severna Park, MD as a sovereign state, free of all US tax and business laws.”
-He would always take any money that would be given to him. Necessary to keep up appearances.
-Very good about bending the truth and when necessary flat out lying.
-Offer up family values and his faith as a cover story to win over the hearts and minds of people he needs to use to keep his office or get his way.
-He would naturally surround himself with incompetent staffers. The ones that are too stupid, weak or desperate to actually tell him that he doing wrong.
-Excite the conservatives by declaring that all regulations that hamper his ability to do whatever he wanted either wrong or unnecessary obstructions to his cause.
-Excite socialist by declaring that regulations that hamper his ability to sell people in need what he thinks they should have are either wrong or unnecessary obstructions.
-Because he is good enough, smart enough and gosh gone it, he likes himself.
-Did I mention lying?
-He would block any legislation that would authorize the payments on the Alaska mortgage and be quoted in the press as “GH: Those bankers are just wrong in their demands and the trouble they are causing, so they are evil. Besides, it is just a formality for them to repossess Alaska and it wasn't that important anyways. Reporter: Senator, Alaska has vast natural resources that will be lost? GH: really, my staffer Doug never mentioned that… ”
-His open attitude of entitlement for himself and family will allow him to fit right in with the people in Washington who are actually entitled. You know, the ones who actually have wealth and power.
-He is very comfortable with destroying anything that gets in his way of getting his way; i.e. the US government, the world economy, his business.
-Loves to be the center of attention.
-Did I mention lack of fiscal management skills?
-He would be thrilled to have an office building named after him at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Hepburn Highway (formerly named Ritchie Highway)
