Please change senior leadership before the company is too severely damaged. Go hire Ludwig and team back if you can. They are able and inspiring leaders and the company may be able to retain the talent that remains that is running for the doors. At least those that remain that haven't been fired or asked to move overseas or across the country. This is a really serious post by a non-sales rep. The company is at risk and the senior leadership is profoundly not up to the job. If you can't get Ludwig and team --then start looking for a team that has the appropriate strong leadership skill set and understands biotech, both manufacturing and selling -and small molecules (depending on If and how they split the company).
The combined company of Shire has patients that rely on the drugs we make and sell to save and sustain their lives. The company has proudly developed and commercialized such drugs for decades. Patients are relying on this company.
I would never have thought a CEO could cause so much damage and chaos in such a short amount of time. He has. So many have been fired or are leaving I am not sure the company will make it. I never, ever thought I would say that. There was too much hard working experienced talent across divisions from R&D to clinical to salesforce. It was layers deep, at least on the Baxalta side. Now it's gone or heading fast for the doors. This is at all levels...not just the salesforce. We are getting such a horrible reputation it will hard to hire. The biotech area is a small community globally and the pool of top talent is very small. Everbody knows each other.
Shire makes really large, really complex biologics. The pool of people that can do this at a high level- the science, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, commercialization, medical affairs and sales-is limited. The company's reputation is critical.
Please Board of Directors if you read this board---do something.
Regards, a Shire (legacy Baxalta) employee who is profoundly concerned.
