Dear Shire Board

Please change senior leadership before the company is too severely damaged. Go hire Ludwig and team back if you can. They are able and inspiring leaders and the company may be able to retain the talent that remains that is running for the doors. At least those that remain that haven't been fired or asked to move overseas or across the country. This is a really serious post by a non-sales rep. The company is at risk and the senior leadership is profoundly not up to the job. If you can't get Ludwig and team --then start looking for a team that has the appropriate strong leadership skill set and understands biotech, both manufacturing and selling -and small molecules (depending on If and how they split the company).

The combined company of Shire has patients that rely on the drugs we make and sell to save and sustain their lives. The company has proudly developed and commercialized such drugs for decades. Patients are relying on this company.

I would never have thought a CEO could cause so much damage and chaos in such a short amount of time. He has. So many have been fired or are leaving I am not sure the company will make it. I never, ever thought I would say that. There was too much hard working experienced talent across divisions from R&D to clinical to salesforce. It was layers deep, at least on the Baxalta side. Now it's gone or heading fast for the doors. This is at all levels...not just the salesforce. We are getting such a horrible reputation it will hard to hire. The biotech area is a small community globally and the pool of top talent is very small. Everbody knows each other.

Shire makes really large, really complex biologics. The pool of people that can do this at a high level- the science, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, commercialization, medical affairs and sales-is limited. The company's reputation is critical.

Please Board of Directors if you read this board---do something.

Regards, a Shire (legacy Baxalta) employee who is profoundly concerned.

the company wide survey results are in. The Confidence in senior leadership score was the lowest possible score.
Wonder if the board will see this or even care.
As long as they are making money and have opportunity for big pay day through a future sale, they will do nothing except encourage him. How naive to think that anyone at that level is here for a rewarding career through retirement. They don't give a rats ass about morale. They're on a mission. The sentiments written here on Cafepharma, although eloquent and from the heart are meaningless to these sharks. They swim for food, searching for their next meal and when they find it, their eyes roll back and they bite. Souless, lifeless, money-eating machines. Thats all.

How could it not be? Fleming is inept. Perry Sternberg is a joke. The people he appoints are jokes. If it took a survey to see that, the company is blind.

Why would they even do a survey? There doesn't appear to be any appetite to even believe what people say let alone change things.

80% of our sales teams back our managers. Pay no attention to the failed shills who are still angry from getting the boot.

Take a look at Glassdoor. FO has one of the lowest approval ratings of any CEO. It's common knowledge that his strategy has failed along with his leadership. And let's stop hearing about Baxalta. Their pipeline had not excited anyone and wasn't strong enough to avoid being purchased, and it certainly didn't rescue the failing Shire pipeline under FO. Ludwig made out quite as well as FO, and left his people to fend for themselves. Two pieces of dung smashed together don't make a pearl, just more dung.

If 80% really backed our leadership don't you think aleast 1 person would have stood up when fo ,PS, mr , or the biggest idiot of them all KC took the stage at our merting?? Just one... I have NEVER been to a meeting where the sales force refused to stand for these individuals.... not one person stood and the applause wad less than heart felt... they should be embarrassed... i think your number is flipped... 80% don't respect these unqualified fools... we do our jobs and like the products we sell but no respect for those at the top as they have not earned it...

Recent survey results demonstrate strong support for senior management amongst the sales force members. HQ ratings were also high for management. Those are the facts, jack!

Insider here and we saw the survey analysis yesterday. It is spot on that leadership is well respected at Shire. The few trolls that constantly write negative comments are fired employees with a grudge. The truth will always win! Good selling.
