Corona Virus- National Meetings

Next week will be telling as to the true character of Ethicon and individuals. Lets see how different employees respond in a time of crisis to show empathy instead of cheap self promotion.

I will be watching for:
1. Marketing and training to not waste time with our training next week. I don't have a problem with getting this training in but realize that most of us have children at home and some have an elderly parent they are taking care of. We are now caretakers for many and its an all day affair since everything is shut down. BS role plays, success stories, breakouts, etc should be eliminated. Give us the nuts and bolts and let us get back to our families.

2. RSM's--Which one will self promote and try to look good in this crisis? Which ones will waste our time next week with BS simply because they want to "one up" their fellow RSM's. Whatever direction they take I can assure you it wont be forgotten.

3. AVP's--Same as above for the RSM's

I think JNJ has done an OK job overall and I am optimistic that the CREDO will indeed shine thru. I am concerned that so many of our peers will get caught up in the desire to look good and selfishly waste our time. Like the say the true character of a person isn't revealed until adversity hits.

You sound like the biggest loser out there! Suck it up! You’re at home - least you can do is read up on stuff you whiny asshole. Lots of people a lot worse off than you are and they’re not complaining. Selfish morons like you are what’s wrong with world today

Original poster here. Tell me what I said that you disagree with or how it's being "whiny." I said above that I didn't have a problem with additional training. So, I guess you have an issue with my comments on the self promotion part. Sounds like you may be one of the culprits?

I left Ethicon several years ago. Southern Coast. I always thought the self promotion was rampant and even encouraged. Once the FSO was "forced" to get Twitter it got worse by an order of magnitude. Granted, I'm not a fan of social media in general so I'm biased against it, but there is a large subset on individuals who enjoy the narcissistic attention of self promotion on the private Twitter groups. That shit really bothered me.

I have to agree that it seems highly inappropriate to be rolling out weeks of training with zoom meetings for check ins. I thought it was an over reaction at the beginning too but this stuff is really bad and estimates of 1-2 million deaths in the USA is very possible. This is a historic time in history and we should be grateful to work for JNJ. However, every week that goes by seems like JNJ just cant help themselves. Are we really going to spend the next 4 weeks laughing and smiling on zoom meetings talking about staple heights and suture. Its shameful.

Fuck it, everybody dies eventually, it’s time to get back to work.

Let’s tell Dr Fauci, that you, a little bagel boy from the Louisiana Bajou, with a marketing degree thinks it’s time to get back to work. I am sure he will pay attention.

Serious question. Who is responsible for the format of this training that we are doing? Is it the rss reps? This is without a doubt the dumbest training I’ve been through in nearly 15 years with Ethicon. None of the material is new yet we are spending an enormous amount of time studying it again. On top of that, the reps have to verbalize all this and listen to others say the same thing. Then you have the douchebag managers zooming every second.

This is a complete check the box by whoever created the format and it’s obvious they didn’t want to actually do any work. Telling the fso to look shit up and then tell us what you find is the biggest slap in the face ever. Get off your ass for once and roll out training that YOU present and teach US! Absolute lazy ass!

Just talked to a MIS fellow I'm close with at my largest account. Talk with administration is reps won't be allowed back in the OR for at least 1 year after hospital begins to open up to non-Covid 19 patients.

It's going to be a while folks!

That is very logical to avoid unnecessary risks for additional spread. I hope the protocol will be taken by all hospital consistently.

I've heard similar. Since vaccine will not be available till Jan 2021, it doesn't make any sense for any hospital to open up for non essential.
For the greater goods of the population, I hope the hospitals are really taking there time before making any decision to open up to the reps.

Not true. Some ORs are already allowing access to reps. Depends on State and hospital IDN.
