Two compliance managers have resigned from AZ.....what a surprise!! And now they are not back filling them......more cuts to come

Yes, Only essential positions to be filled at this time. Cuts to come and are already beginning the next phase, my friend in HR sat in. She said that it is a sobering/sad situation that so many are going to be affected. She said it is not a good time to be in Pharma. Also, it seems that other companies plans for thinning were in the presentation. So, it is a shared experience.

the announcement of 7,300 cuts on 2 Feb included 3,750 from include sales, general, and administrative jobs. The 3,750 includes those sales people that went on Jan 30 and the 400 HQ positions that went in Oct but there's still a lot more to make the figure up to 3,750.

What are your thought about cuts for MedImmune division? Some interesting things in the pipeline but may be too far out to help.

Its my understanding that Med has a safe harbor type of separation from AZ. They still have a way to keep their division away from AZ hoopla. Notice there is very minimal crossover. Example: When the decisions were being made for layoffs, there were a number of positions open that needed to be filled. At the HR meeting it was determined that there will be no crossover.../AZ/...Done deal.
