After purchasing a dermatology company 4 years ago, Exeltis is taking its final few breaths.

Dead you say? Wasn't it already dead after each wave of reps abandoning ship.

Yes and no. After each wave of reps/manager leaving or getting downsized, the brilliant leadership has rehired.

So what is different now? As many of you know, the wise and business savvy FM laid off roughly half of the sales force in order to SAVE mankind. They repositioned a few rookie RSMs and tasked them to rehire.

Can I get a tall glass of the Exeltis koolaid from Chambers? Before you drink that sweet drink, ask yourself how many reps have quit in 2018?

Last Friday alone, you had 2 more reps jump ship!

But won't California save us? You didn't hear? They decided NOT to rehire on the West coast because it wasn't profitable.

But NeoCera will save us! Good luck selling a 10th in class barrier repair to only patients with PPO insurance.

For those left, get wise and look NOW before you get a call from the FAT HR cow.

Good for those of you that are interviewing. I know of another 5 reps that are about to leave.

Best of luck in the launch! For those lucky enough to survive the future downsizing (My bet is the end of July). Ecoza will not make up the lost ground because it is getting subsited for generic.

Relax wonder kids in the NE! A few of you President's Club winners (Keep telling yourself that you won bc of your talent and not bc you were the only ones left) reps in the NE and the 3 RSMs will be shuffled over to the WH team.

Share with us your prediction date of collapse. It will be on a Friday. You will get an email on Thursday night.
You will be offered 1 month severance. They will lock you out of your computer after your call. They will pick up your car in 3 days. The fat cow will order you to pay off your AMEX BEFORE paying you for any open charges.

Wake up for those that are left.

I have never posted on Café Pharma but Exeltis is so sad it's hard not to post. Rumor has it that not only do they screw you when downsized but then they screw you again when your pro rated bonus is due. Can any past employees verify what happened to their bonus after they were downsized? Talk about taking employees at a difficult financial time in their lives and making it worse! Management and HR at Exeltis must have hearts of stone.
 


I can provide some pearls of wisdom on how to avoid being blind sided by this sinking ship.

Bonus: What you have to understand is Exeltis does NOT have the funds allocated for bonus. The derm team is NOT profitable. Because of this, NJ tries to strong arm you out of any possible money.

If you leave on your own (which you should) before the bonus is paid, don't expect to be paid in full. Let me explain a few scenarios:

-Leaving before the quarter is complete: if you leave before the qrt is completed, be prepared for your sales numbers to all of a sudden drop off. Sales trends are often manipulated. JC did it all of the time. Do you really believe that the NE is that good? Do you really think that they earned all of the Pres Club. They won the awards bc they stayed..Also CH is a butt kisser to NJ. Bottom line, there is no guarantee that you will be paid any bonus if you leave mid quota.

-Leaving after the quarter is completed: As stated above, be prepared for sales trend manipulation. You have a better chance of getting paid if you stay until the last day of qrt. Ideally you try to stay till payout but that can take 60 days after quarter. Bottom line, forward any documentation on your sales trends to personal computer. Also forward any sop that describes how bonus is paid for the quarter (if one is provided...they don't always provide one). Avoid pushing your manager for the documentation. Rumor has it that they are in freak out mode. You do not want to bring any undue attention to yourself. Just know that you will have to fight for your bonus after you leave. Don't let the few crumbs of payout keep you on this floating turd of a company.

-How to prepare for departure:
Credit card: If you know that you are leaving, stop charging the credit card. Set aside some cash. The moment you leave, NJ will strong arm you to pay in full your credit card. They will demand payment for all expenses. The group that just got cut in Nov was forced to pay their cards after getting laid off. How SHI!!y is that! I would avoid any unnecessary expenses.

Samples: Makes sure that your sample inventory is solid. I heard they screwed a few people on sample that were off. Try your best to be as accurate as possible. You also might consider heavy sampling your entire allotment if you know you are leaving. Your manager and HR will most likely shut down the territory and they will ask you to ship samples to a peer. Avoid the hassle and give it to your offices. If they require you to ship samples, ask for the company fedex number. DO NOT put it on your company card. You will have to pay for it before they reimburse.

Computer: Start sending any and all documentation to your home computer. The moment they lay you off, the company will remotely shut you out of email and other company web sites. I heard that they can remote in to your computer once you are on internet and shut the computer down. This happened to the past group that got downsized.

Bottom Line: Don't be caught off guard. Prepare your exit NOW. You can always make up your bonus at the next company. It is easier to find a job while you have a job. All of the signs are pointing to the truth that derm will be downsized. DO NOT believe the words from upper mngt. Especially your CEO- FM. He is world class idiot that will be fired or repositioned to another country.

Bonus for 4th quarter is to be paid out this week. It will be interesting to see how the people who were downsized before the end of last quarter are paid. If my job was eliminated and they failed to pay me, I would speak to an attorney and sue for my bonus plus additional relief. It is illegal for a company not to pay bonus that was earned.

The company has had people exceeding goals then getting killed by a metric that nobody ever understood completely. Maybe now employees can get back to selling and not worrying about losing their jobs every day. Oh wait....MB and NJ are still there and think they can do whatever they want without any consequences for their behavior.

A few thoughts:

FM-Do you really believe that he is leaving on his own accord? Wake up-He always knew that he needed to right this sinking ship in 2 years. When he couldn't, he was given the heave ho.

NJ-Watch her as she waddles to take control today. She most likely is plotting on ways to manipulate the new CEO. Note to Spain-Your CEOs first fire needs to be NJ. She is grossly incapable of running an HR department.

Get back to selling-This company does NOT know how to "sell". That is the core problem. WH has relied on PNV samples only to find that the market went OTC. Derm is a disatourous mess. They have crappy products that compete against OTC and generics.

Take a cue from the idiot who brought MI/EVOL.....find another job and bounce.
 


Good point-where is Spain in all of this mess? MB and NJ are and have been running the show without any consequences for their bad decisions. Eventually somebody will hold them accountable. That is karma.
 












If AC turns around Derm she deserves the congressional Medal of Honor and would definitely qualify as CEO. Hell she should be the next President of the United States Of America if she could turn around this shithole. Derm is going down fast. I wonder if MC can crawl up the new guys ass fast enough to save himself now that the guy he’s been giving a rusty trombone to for the past 2 years, excuse me, 21 months is gone. MM is safe cuz he’s part of the “family busines”. Oh look he relocated to where the 80 year old WH RSM is residing. I hope CH can drink the Kool Aid herself that she’s been spewing for 4 plus years. Hope they have room for you in the NE WH division!!!
