How long till Biomet does something about the 2 guys running Arizona ? They are stacking there chips and running the business into the ground. A change needs to take place.

Well AZ has been a mess for awhile , so many new people with a very high turnover rate . Experienced reps out and new less experienced reps in , you can pay them far less !!!

How many other companies have their reps tending to distributor responsabilties? Is 7% commision the industry standard? According to J/A it is! Biomet corporate needs to look into the AZ. distributorship ASAP!!!

Wah, Wah, Wah! Why would corporate people be involved with the whimpering of a rep who claims his distributor (read: employer) is not fair. You must be a democrat!

This is what's wrong with the distributor
Model. Biomet corp has no idea what these
Guys do to their sales forces ie. run out people
To bring in guys for less pay and give commission
Cuts, charge DI, and have staff that can't get along
And then say complain all you want it's our business
Then add in they go on vacation and come into the
Office whenever they want and everyone
Wonders why sales are not growing. Talk about
Motivation for sales growth and moral.

the last thing these distributors
Want is for anyone to find out
how much money they make,
especially if you are the the reps
Working 15 hrs a day to make it for them

Martin and Worth should be shit canned. They were a poor distributor for EBI, were fired, then got it all back and continue to suck ass. Losers!

Hello! Every company that is not direct! This isn't isolated to AZ, it's everywhere. Reps are ALWAYS charged for consignment, missing inventory, labs, instruments, etc. Stryker, DePuy, Biomet, and Arthrex just to name a few. I get charged out the wazzoo for these things, I suck it up and write it off at the end of the year. It is what it is.

Reps are not normally charged for DI and keep having commissions cut, who said we were talking about missing implants and instruments. It sounds like you need to manage your territory better. If all this stuff is the reps responsibility than I guess we don't need distributors now do we.

Thats if your Distributor gives you a reciept or some kind of invoice. Yeah you should write it off. We dont get that option, EVEN IF YOU ASK FOR IT MORE THAN ONCE! Just a couple of questions and feel free to answer. What is your monthly DI charge, and do you pay for an employee. Do you have a written agreement that the instruments you paid for are yours and do you get a bonus when your numbers are up and everybody else is down???

If you work hard and bring new business and maintain your territory. I feel you should be given a stipend for your agressivness of maintaining your territory in a conscientous implant usage and new product release to your surgeons. Compared to others who basterdize the warehouse and freight usage! In our territory Stryker, and Depuy are 8% and option of 12% if their numbers are up, and not the whole team. Zimmer is at 9% with 401k and good health insurance. This doesnt mean I want to work with them, I just want Biomet to fix AZ. 8.0-8.5% commision would be doable...7% is a joke!

Did Biomet Corp. get involved? There are other distributors doing similar things to their reps. DI charges, insurance fees, lost inventory, magical freight charges, and ect. No receipts or explanations. Just deductions from commission shown on pay stub but not on 1099...nowhere in the contract does it specify these deductions. "Everything is negotiable" so it states. Moral is low and charges keep increasing as commissions get lower. It would be one thing if these charges were talked about before hand and detailed explanations given. However they just do whatever they want. Zero support from the distributor. No one complains about the commission rate just these added fees that come from no where. Territories being cut with no explanation. If you raise a question the distributor becomes combative and defensive. Who do you go to at corp. for help? Sales are suffering and everyone is afraid of asking a question for fear of losing their job or having their territory cut. Who can help?
