I have approx 80 cycle plan ECP's.

Is that considered "small"?

No being sarcastic, just don't know compared to other parts of the country.

Yes, I have been in eyecare for a long time & 80 targets is very small for this speacialty. I've always had 150 or more targets in the past. These docs don't like having reps in every 2 weeks with nothing new to talk about. A 3 or 4 week call cycle is much better, so we don't become annoying, but still helpful.
 






agreed about rudderless leadership, especially from TP. come on man, the RDs aren't the only ones that need to hear from you. We know you can't have calls right now, but an email here and there DIRECTLY to the reps would be nice.

It's like an UAs against RD's/ TP mentality in OBU, bizarre.
Leadership is talking directly to your team, here's where we are, here's where we need to be, you guys can do it, eye.
Nothing from TP-crickets! It isn't rocket science-get off you I-Pad and lead!

so where is the "big announcement "? Total BS...there are no layoffs, period! No merging NBU and OBU! I guess there will always be haters, if you don't like it here, if you think you are being mistreated, not making enough money then leave. No one will be upset! No one is holding a gun on you and preventing you from leaving. I totally understand the purpose of CP so people can vent, however for people to get on here and create panic and pass on what they know is false info is just stupid. Go make a few calls...and yes I'm posting in the middle of the day, I am eating lunch so you can kiss my a$$ if you have a problem with that.

As far as the amount of targets, all territories are NOT created equal. With over 10 years in eyecare I have always had around 70-90 targets, changes every qtr just like every other pharma company. Can we just make calls, do our job and move on? Why CREATE all this extra drama. Get a life folks!

Those jobs don't even start until mid August, nice try. And it's a contract job with Publicis. The company is being shopped to the highest bidder. So if any eyecare company buys it, and they already have a sales force, you think they're keeping the contract people? Fat chance. Things suck right now at shire but give them a hot minute to turn it in the right direction before jumping. The grass isn't greener in the eyecare space.

Yes! A simple motivating email once in awhile could really help. How about some shout outs naming the few reps killing it that week with market share, redemptions, etc. It would be nice to know that you see/appreciate the good amongst all the negatives you probably rant to our RDs about.
 


















You are correct. There is no merger between NBU and OBU. There are no lay offs. That stupid rumor has been circulation since day one of the OBU and over a year later, it has not and is not happening.
NBU is going to a launch meeting.
The only conference call on June 30th or thereabouts is to explain the Q3 compensation plan.
Bob is not gone. He's still at Shire and he's still in the OBU. He is now over GLOBAL OBU instead of US OBU. Let's repeat that, shall we-GLOBAL. Why do you think we need a Global OBU director? Same reason there are no OBU layoffs. We have a pipeline, folks. Do you know what that is? And what that means? More drugs. You don't let a sales force go with a a new and exciting drug in Phase III studies.
In our Region we have territories that are between 70 and over 125. We have territories that are pulling in over 100 Xiidra weekly and those that bring in less than 50. No under performers. All high market share territories. That why we have buckets and baselines.

As to why there are people that continually post doom & gloom and fake info- they love to see reactions there are people who love it when the thread they started goes to 4 or 6 pages. They post over and over, sometimes as different people, agreeing with the OP. It's a social media phsychosis. A feeling of importance. Most of you are on other social media-you know what I'm talking about. They thrive off of this shit. Look at the times some are posting. In the middle of the night- they are on cafe pharma??? Read a book folks!

What REAL NEWS have we gotten from CP? Did we find out about KKs removal here?- no! How about the contest?- no! Was it CP that informed us of Bob's promotion? How about Vickers from R&D leaving? Have we gotten ANY real news here? No, we have not. The only thing that has come from reading CP is FEAR and a bit of DRAMA. (And a laugh or two on occasion)
