The "Executives" made a horrible acquisition and I am now living with the consequences of that decision. They bought one product that market has clearly rejected and have offered no changes to the marketing or pricing of this drug. The second product purchased is the same exact drug as what we were carrying in our bag and now we have to sell something we actively sold against for years. The culture has shifted from collaboration and motivation to fear and silence.
My boss doesn't know how to utilize my skills or develop my career. Rather me sit there and twiddle my thumbs than engage me in the "business." Feel unwanted, not valued and a liability.
Company has become a me too company with lack of innovation. Its been nothing but a price war. Leadership is Clueless they don't care about empolyee's but themselves. They Have no idea how disconnected the sales force is and how many people are looking to leave.
Tired of the constant pressure in an environment of instability and insecurity. Tired of the paralysis the fear causes--afraid to take on any financial obligations because worried the job will end before I can pay them off (i.e., new car, different house, education costs). Tired of the posturing, brown nosing, and internal politics of pharma.
Very good compensation but sometimes micro-managed. Also, because we work with buy-and-bill, the dependency on others can be frustrating. Overall the job is definitely worth it.
Constant "reorganization" from management with zero direction and zero leadership, constant shifting of priorities and goals, and massively inconsistent decisions. ENOUGH!
1099 position working for compounding company. This is the 2nd Specialty Phcy co I have worked for the 1st one had issues of paying the reps-this one gives u no support mat'l and u actually have to pay to print up your own RX pads to give to the offices-no reimbursement. Competition is fierce and 2 of the companies actually give their reps a small base-which is HUGE in my opinion
Too much micro magnt, too many small projects that are wasteful, too many district mtgs, too many conf calls, too many tests...plus need the 9 calls make your numbers and still not get a respectful merit raise-unless u r part of the good ole boy network. Haven't had a mgr in 14mnths...but we r working on it crap.
Micromananagemet, disdain for sales force, non-existent product lifecycle planning, busy-work/side job interference with work that actually drives revenue
Neuro- Legacy Allergan. The good old boys in management discriminate against females and age. There is no movement in upper management - directors have been the same in over a decade. The same people manage the same shitty way. The Neuro division is 98% white. If you have been in your position for more than 5 years, there is little chance you will be promoted. Benefits are so bad and they hold bonuses until the last min to pay you. Not a good place for long term employment.
