Life Science Fund Seeking to Raise $250 Million

LXC Fund, based in Pittsburgh is seeking to raise $250 million according to this recent SEC Filing.  The fund has already raised 2.37 million.

The fund's managing general partner is listed as Dietrich Stephan PhD. Dr Stephan is professor and chairman of the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Stephan’s department includes one of the premier genetic counseling training programs in the country. He is the CEO of LifeX.

LifeX is a life science accelerator based in Pittsburgh. LifeX's portfolio currently includes companies spanning a vast array of disease states including: autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, and antibiotic resistance.
