FDA warning letters have increased substantially since 2007; expected to increase again in 2015

October 3, 2014

In a study of FDA warning letter trends, it was found that FDA warning letters issued increased by 78% from 2007 to 2013. One of the industries that accounted for the highest number of warning letters was Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology. Although there was a decrease so far in 2014, there is expected to be another increase in 2015 due to an increased FDA budget.
