GSK backs CEO Walmsley, rejecting Elliott’s call to change board

GlaxoSmithKline’s board had responded to the broadside attack delivered by activist investor Elliott Management yesterday, saying it stands firmly behind the leadership of chief executive Emma Walmsley.
