Abbott CEO: Covid-19 Testing Will Be Needed After A Vaccine’s Available

The demand for diagnostic tests for the coronavirus strain Covid-19 will surge well into 2021 and after a vaccine is available, the top executive at Abbott Laboratories says.

The need for Abbott and rival diagnostics companies to ramp up production of Covid-19 tests will be key throughout the pandemic, particularly during seasonal influenza season this fall and once a vaccine is produced.
