When did he leave Shire? He just took on role as Chief Commercial Officer with Synergy. They have a "best in class" GC-C agonist that will compete against Linzess. Trying to figure out situation, was Troy sent to SGYP to sell to Shire, or did he leave on terms where he's just moving on with his life?
Troy was based in Chesterbrook PA and most of the PA jobs are being moved to Boston and most of us aren't relocating So likely he decided not to relocate is my guess.
Hit the nail on the head here. Employees were given to relocate up to the lexington area. Some were given bonus incentives (along with the relo) to move up there. Quite a few didn't take it so that is why there is such an abundance of positions opening right now.
Good for him and others that land good jobs coming out of CB. Why anyone would even consider moving to stay with this shell of a company is beyond me. Unless you're trying to get back to Boston area and want the free move. Everyone else can tell Flem and perry to F'off. Big waste of money and talent with this un-needed move to Lex.
There has been an exodus of talent from Shire, and many are simply waiting to get their retention bonuses before moving on. That's why we are so desperate for deals and cutting costs to make numbers.
