If they are selling us, why the new restaurant, and the new building with a new lens care line in it?

There was a rumour about Nestlé wanting to buy us back. Any thoughts on that?

    Highly doubtful.
They could only buy back Vision Care & Surgical at a fraction the cost NVS paid. Don't think NVS wants to sell for a fraction of the cost and for only 2/3rds the company.
Alcon pharma is gone, nonexistent and wholly part of NVS now.

Same with the asinine idea of the "open office" concept. It died when JG was canned.

Why buy back Alcon after Novartis ruined us?

Not so true. The difference between NVS and Nestle is that Nestle left Alcon alone for the most part and let Alcon leadership do it's job. All was good back then NVS has totally screwed that up by micro managing EVERYTHING!

Novartis paid $51 Billion for Alcon. Doubt Novartis wants to take a big loss, meaning they need to get their money's worth. Which is impossible at the moment b/c Alcon isn't worth anything near that amount (news flash...it never was). Don't see Nestle spending anything close to that to buy Alcon back or any offer attractive enough to sell. Even if they did want Alcon it would only be Surgical & VC as pharma has been fully integrated into NVS further driving down the price. NVS screwed themselves every which way possible. It's a study in stupidity.
Take a look at the list of Novartis people at Alcon and those they've hired. Epic fails.
    Exhibit A = J. George.

Novartis arrogantly thought they could run the surgical business using their pharma model.
