If you want total honesty from the field, a company survey from a consulting company is not where you will get candor. People still fear of speaking up. It is clear that upper management down to the first line managers have little regard or trust concerning work of representatives, but I think you are painting with a broad brush there are only a small set of outliers that do not care about their work.

Two ways to bring about change from a "field level" perspective. 1: File a law suit. It's really all they understand. We are run by lawyers in case you haven't noticed. That is good and bad. The good for you (or someone who files litigation) is that every major change has come via whistleblower law suit, class action law suit, or individual law suit. You have a legitimate claim, get lawyer. You will force GSK to change and pocket a few bucks for your efforts. OR...Involve HR. Believe it or not, if you have hard examples of an RD or TSM exuding any form of harassment or ineptitude, they will act. Seen it many times in my career. You think you have no power, but that's not always the case. If you are true, if you have a legitimate issue, you can do something about it! Stop complaining! Stop whining! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!! If not, then shut the hell up and do your job!

Plus the surveys are traceable--they only want yes-men and wymyn.
