Sales contest in Jan/Feb goes against CIA

    Page 32 of the cia agreement states the sales contest for individual territory was in direct violation. Also the conference calls where data were discipline was given for specialists not prescribing goes against.

    The contest was a two month contest for breo where the individual territory was rewarded for growing prescription share past a certain point.

    "Pursuant to its existing Patient First program, GSK agrees that it will not provide financial reward (through compensation, including incentive compensation or otherwise) or discipline (through tangible employment action) its prescribing-customer-facing field sales professionals (pharmaceutical sales representatives) or their direct managers based upon the volume of sales of GSK products within a given employee’s own territory or the manager’s district. The Patient First program includes evaluations for sales representatives based on business acumen, customer engagement, and scientific knowledge about GSK’s products. GSK shall continue its Patient First Program, or a substantially equivalent program, during the term of this CIA. GSK commits to maintaining for at least the duration of the CIA, absent agreement otherwise with the OIG, the restrictions on such tangible employment decisions set forth in its Use of Territory/Individual Sales Data policy. "

    You are complaining about a sales contest? You must have lost! There is a reason why GSK reps are not hired by other companies. They do not sell!

    Well relaying info a trusted grey hair mentioned. I wouldn't suggest anyone say if they one or lost on here, but the fact remains this was against rules and you were being punished or rewarded for this.

    Being intentionally vague, grey hair had a convo about this last week while discussing pay/rankings. This came up and directed me to the actual cia and compared it to the emails/discussion about this contest.

    So the reason I bring this up, it's going directly against what the CIA says. Rules are rules. I throw it out there for others to use how they may.

    Sales contest at a territory level? Do we work for the same company? Don't think so. Wish we'd had a contest at a territory level.

    Yes there 100% was. It was moving nbrx share for breo past certain percent.

    Did not everyone do this contest? Check your emails from back then. Some of you seem surprised.

    bogus thread. No way would anyone risk their job at Gsk to have a sales contest. You would make it more believable if you said Anoro had a contest too. I wish we had bonuses based on sales - my income has gone down ever since we started patient first

    Specifically it was for asthma team, the layout should have been April/May paychecks.
    I am not aware of what all regions were in on this.

    1. There was email communication about this. 2. Discussed over calls. 3. There was a payout.

    There was a SPIFF at the start of the year, across the key brands for each selling team. Sales forecasts required all most all of the yearly growth in q1. It was 100% not at the terr level. It was not at the district level. It was not at the regional level. It was at the SECTOR level. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either trolling or a complete joke of a sales rep for not knowing how you get paid.

    Finally someone remembers!

    Not all members of teams made the goal, I would call that territory level if anything. I can remember the stupid charts explaining where we needed to be to hit our specific numbers.
