How can this be? Aren't we losing Zetia next year? So that leaves us with Januvia/Dulera? Does anyone know the plan?
I guess Hospital Reps, will have it all (which isn't much); Januvia & Belsomra. There's no need for a PC Sales Force. CSO's already have Dulera & Belsomra. So I guess the CSOs will pick up Zetia, since it's about to expire.
Lets be honest with ourselves, their is no need for Hospital reps anymore. These institutions, based on outcomes have chosen what products to be utilized. We have no impact or influence because the clinicians have lost all control! They implement and follow protocol or else they don't get paid. Turn out the lights, the gravy" train of a job is over..
Januvia: Ever-falling revenue, despite a growing market and crazy price hikes. Dulera: Worth almost nothing and falling in value every day. Belsomra: Has plateaued at a level that anyone would classify as a failure. Zetia: Will the last one to leave place turn off the lights. Reps: Checkmate.
The industry has changed. Yes, the market has shifted towards outcomes but it's also outcomes combined with the lowest cost drug or devices for the Hospitals & Health Insurance companies. Physicians, have to dance to the tune of the Health Insurance Companies & IDNs. They have little decision making power which mean Pharma Reps, are wasting their time trying to influence Physicians who have little to no, decision making power. Exhibit A Hillary Clinton promises to boost FDA funding that could lead to more generic drug approvals if she's elected. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/09/23/under-hillary-clinton-generic-drugmakers-could-soa.aspx?source=eogyholnk0000001
