Read the analyst reports on the drug....not good. Plus it will follow about 4-5 drugs that will beat it to market. It's in phase 2 trials.... Don't hold your breath on this one. Better learn more about your MS market and treatments.

    Yours Truly,

    Chicken Little

We paid a billion for this ha ha ha ha. MSBU=Morons. Glaxo just sold us snake oil.

It’s a joke,” Wenner said by phone. “Patients either want better convenience than the old drugs or they want better efficacy, and ofatumumab is offering neither of those things. The chances of this being successful in MS and generating any sales are zero in my view.”

How many SRF needed to justify your job? Answer that and you'll see we are the biggest revenue generators at Novartis. Without us Gilenya usage will shrink by 50%.

Im feel my job is safe. High performing team with a partner with a base 50k higher than mine. Who ya think goes first????

    You are a dumb ass!

    1. If this is true and say your partner makes a base of 120k that means you are only at 70k. So sad my friend. PC reps make more than you! Idiot!

    2. You just identified yourself to the HQ people who skim these boards. And, believe me, they do. There are not many 2 person territories let alone ones where one partner makes 50k more than the other. You are a dumb dumb sad pathetic excuse for a MSBU Specialist!

By the way Joe and the Swiss boys could care less about how much Gilenya brings in. This franchise is just a decision in order to move the share price. Don't believe me? Ask your Oncology counterparts!

    Want to cut costs?
    1. Cut the number of managers in half. They generate no revenue, they don't even do the expense reports.... Besides spread sheets, they are pretty much useless.

    2. Get rid of the SAMs.....?What do they do besides pretend they call on 4 accounts each. Really.....you're going to tell key KOLs how to write....ha!

    3. Cut the KAMs in half. Another position of spreadsheet uselessness.....

There, I just saved the company a couple million dollars....... Let me know when you want me to work on the home office nit wits...

Let the PiPs begin! Lots of plans being handed out by inadequate managers, pushed down by inadequate regionals based on an inadequate marketing approach that has sucked wind from day one....... So who truly belong on those plans?? Yes, rocket plans, spread sheets and moon shots are the answer..... If you're in the third grade.

If possible don't sign it. If they force you to sign it write " signed under protest" under your signature.

Print all emails out now before you are shut down

Why am I going on a PIP when the RD has finished in last place for 2 straight years.

RD should be on a PIP
ABL should be on a PIP

Senior leaders above RD level needs to sit down with every rep and have a truthful conversation on what the RD and ABL have down wrong to remain in last place for 2 years. After that and the truth comes out the RD and ABL will be terminated.

Just an FYI. Signing a PIP isn't an acknowledgment of guilt, but simply confirmation that a conversation has occurred. Its the first step in documentation by HR to TERMINATE you. Not signing it could also be used as grounds for insubordination and again lead to termination.

The issue that you face is that if or when you stand up for yourself, you will be instantly marked by HR for separation. It is highly unlikely you will succeed with the PIP as the interpretation of success is subjective between HR and your manager. Additionally, remember, your an employee at will, so they can simply terminate you based upon a reassessment of business needs.

The issue that puts fear into the heart of Novartis HR and outside HR legal council is a Retaliation Lawsuit.

Your goal is to remain calm, seek legal council, and be prepared to immediately respond in writing to your Boss, His Boss, and HR that the decision to place you on a PIP is invalid based upon the provided rebuttal to each deficiency. Do not be emotional or subject, but simply state facts to the contrary.

Novartis also has a anti-bullying or harassment policy, which I highly encourage you to review and determine if there is grounds to file a complaint with Novartis BPO. If you believe that you have a case, do not hesitate to report it as this is the first step to potentially win a Retaliation Case in your favor if they take action.

Most will tell you that few survive PIPs and this is a signal that you need to immediately start looking for a new job, unless you can make the case that your rights are violated or the company is acting inappropriately.

    Good luck.

BPO is garbage same response every time. "We investigated your case and the claims are unsubstantiated" I had some much on my ABL and they did nothing. My opinion just get out and find a new job. Novartis sucks look at the turnover in the MSBU.

My opinion is the BPO is only in place to obtain information to use if an employee files a lawsuit against the company. I suggest never call the BPO

Yes, they will likely side with the company whether they find fault or not. After all, who do they work for at the end of the day. The issue is that you filed a complaint (which should have some basis) that could open the door for additional discovery (risk for Novartis) and the basis for a retaliation lawsuit as part of your response if they were to terminate you (also risk to Novartis).

Novartis doesn't like its dirty laundry aired or its reputation potential damaged. They will either stand down, terminate you and put the ball in your court to prove action, or in some cases they may ask you what you want to make this go away, which usually is an ability to negotiate a better deal on severance.

At a minimum, making a report to the BPO potentially delays the process and usually gets people off your back. Those that I know who have done it, still have jobs. Those that thought about it, but didn't act and trusted their Boss, HR and the lies, got let go.
