You sound bitter. There are no reach/frequency metrics at Genentech in the MS franchise. Sorry you lost out in the interview process. I can't wait to meet you in the field because it will take all of me not to laugh at you.

Now that Conrad is done, the reach/frequency plus all of the rest of his stupid reports will be greatly modified.

    where is Conrad going? Retirement?

And destroy he will do. He will loose all of his ABLs within one year. I guarantee it. He will then increase the rep turnover due his metric crap and useless spreadsheet demands. This will destroy any sales division. He is going to that side to be protected by Sandy Avery again.

Sorry, didn't interview for it. Pay too low and it should worry you on territory sizes....The only laughing will be at you as the insurance companies dictate when, how and at what point your rituxan spin off drug gets written... One drug should worry you, 35-45 targets (90% won't even go near it.) And unless you have some major MS centers in your area....you're toast. Roche runs the show and when all the hype settles and your not hitting goals....enter the metrics. Enjoy your time until December... after that you enter a crowded, formulary run market.... make sure you use your iPad on every call and meet your reach/grequency goals on those 40 docs.... ha,ha.

Counted 17 open MS sales positions. Is there still around 100 total ms sales positions? If so that is a huge number of openings. Take a look at the list on the Novartis website and what additional cities have openings that are not yet listed?

Now that Conrad is gone maybe it will slow down.

Maybe, but doubt it. The lawsuits will probably slow down.

For those people who think this MSBU thread is just a bunch of complainers, look at the facts. The turnover in the MSBU in the last 3-4 years has been tremendous. Mostly voluntary turnover. This speaks volumes of the work environment. Look at the leadership changes. Look at some of the areas where almost the entire team turned over in the last 3 years. Some territories 2 or 3 times. The managers in these areas remain while the team leaves and states their dissatisfaction on the exit interview. Managers keep their position and hire the next round of inexperienced reps who find out in a short amount of time they made a career limiting decision. If you are considering the MSBU think long and hard. If you are now here and delaying leaving, make a call to someone who left to verify the grass is greener. To live a miserable working life affects your entire life. I know!

Well written! I bet the HQ and others think this thread and others bashing the MSBU are from a select bunch of "bad apples". However, that is not the case. I have never posted on this site until i had to vent about the BS in this BU. Everyone I know is looking, even my dick head ABL. Things are bad when your ABL says "if I was you..I would start looking" and "Dont expect to make any bonus because of the rediculous goals". As previously stated, the ABL's are a bunch of primary care hack jobs that do not understand the specialty sales cycle. These specialist do not want to hear a canned openning statement that is intended to start a 10 minute discussion (ten minutes they do not have for that kind of crap). I accepted an offer last week, but I'm waiting to resign to recoup my "step change" money. Can't wait to leave this place.

Why would anyone actually want to promote this drug?

  19. anonymous

    anonymous Guest

Only PC people would promote it
Anyone with any MS knowledge won't touch it, which is a big part of the problem
