Merck Salary Disparity = Another Class Action LAWSUIT!

    Now that the oncology division has a salary cap of $170,000 - Do you think that is discrimination for the rest of the sales force since our S 2 group has a salary cap of $127,000. We have a similar job role and responsibility! I guess it will be just another discrimination lawsuit for MERCK.

    First of all we set the caps not you. The oncology position IS scientifically demanding and requires unique qualities many of which the vast majority of you could only fantasize. If you don't like where you are leave or be glad you have a job ungrateful slugs.

    The OP doesn't understand what discrimination is, no wonder he/she is in a lower paying job.

    Is the Oncology position a different grade level than yours?

    You nailed the magic words, ' No kids '. Pharma is no career to count on if you have kids to support, too much risk with cuts, etc. Perhaps if you are a DCO or above. CTL's, reps, marketing, no way! Field rides, expense approval, signing for samples, catering lunch? Explain that to the kids on career day, pathetic.
