Does anyone know why market access is a complete mess at BMS? My RAE says that Sr Leadership in NJ is nothing more then a puppet for Oncology. Have they forgotten about the other divisions?

That's easy, Sr leadership or lack thereof. SVP and ESDs are horrible and need to go. Been here to long, not in touch with customers and don't know the names of people on their teams. Been here 10 years now and it's gone down hill since MG left. Need a real leader with real direction to lead us. Not a fancy town hall speaker that likes to hear himself talk and two bobble head ESDs that can't think without having their puppet strings pulled.

Agreed, ESDs out of touch. Never leave NJ and never visit customers. Huge loss when Joette left. She got it and was a voice of reason back to Plsbro. Hoping Bourner wakes up soon. Need a house cleaning at the highest levels and change of leadership. New blood will energize our team. Otherwise lip service will continue. Chris, please do something soon as many of my colleges are looking leave.

Our RBD is treating us like a rep. She says that's a direct order from JE. Has to watch every thing we do, every practice session we have and he wants to be BCCd on every work sessions we have with our directors. Talk about micro managing. Who would want to work under that pathetic enviornment. Are we reps or account managers? Ray, you agree with this?

Here is how crazy MA has become. Once a proud place to be, now a circus run by incompetent senior leadership.

Direction to our teams have stated that before each PVP presentation a four hour practice session needs to take place. That's right, FOUR HOURS. Talk about a waste of time. Roleplay a slidedeck for four hours before every presentation. Have we lost our freaking minds.

Who's the clueless Plainsboro jackass that came up with that?

That screams Ehret all over it. Tubbs would never agree to something that ridiculous. He has nothing to prove, where Ehret is a struggling leader trying to make his mark.

Worked for Ehret for years. He has never been in the field so he has no clue what's realistic or not. Good guy, just over his head leading this team. Needs to be internally focused. That is his strength. He is an accountant by training. Connect the dots.

It's not a mess, it's just dysfunctional. As are many other departments here. Stupid new structure isn't helping out either.

Yes they have forgotten about the other divisions. Let's be honest here on the MA side they don't care about anything except for Oncology. There are decisions being made that do not help business other than Oncology and may even hurt other divisions. Some of the recent decisions made are unbelievable and wouldn't fly in any other company.

Been here for years and nearing retirement. This group has always been the land of mis-fit-toys. You go there to retire and nothing else.

Leadership blows. Never have seen a more apathetic group. Ray is at least smart and well spoken. The other two remind me of retired cab drivers that got lucky and put into leadership roles. Frank is very solid and Martin could be with the right team. The lady that left seemed good too. She could be the smartest of the entire group. Now it's back to the good ole boys club. Please hire a women Ray. You need class and common sense added to your team.

Ray should be the first to go. He has been there for very long time with no value-added and very traditional school. It's time for him to go and do something else in his life.

What is little hitlers story? What does he offer and why is he in a leadership role?

    Ehret or Ray?

Can't be Ray. He is not a dictator, puppet yes, but not Hitler like.

On the other hand, I am guessing you are talking about John Erhet. Used to work for that prick. Good internally but Lacks true leadership skills. Treated everyone like a rep. talked down to you and was always negative. could never say nice things about anyone and frequently talked bad about peers and boss. He is a true classless leader.

He also struggled with strong personalities and other male leaders that out classed him (remember Bob Viafora or Tim Wainwright). Look where they are compared to that wanna-be-leader. As mentioned by someone earlier, Access is where the dead go to retire.

He has always favored women and has his little pets that can do no wrong. He should go back to finance and work with numbers. You have fooled enough people for to long. Time to retire little man.

Stop it. John is a wonderful boss. I love working for him. He is quirky at times, but always has the best interest in mind. He is not the problem. The problem resides on the 5th floor where they do not understanding our business. They are out of touch and ruining our great company. John is not the one that needs to be pushing back. That is Ray. Unfortunately Ray has one foot out the door and isn't worried about anything other then his options.

you know it's bad when many HCV territories are getting sales data because the damn company was too cheap to contract with IMS. Many reps are getting short changed when their SPs don't report too Wolters Kluwer - who the fuck uses these bozos? Oh yeah, the clueless schleps running this franchise.

The problem has been always the same. When critical decisions are needed and where leadership is needed, nobody steps in. Remember what happened in diabetes and the access mess created because there was no intention to deal with challenges. This is why everybody is focused on Opdivo. It doesn't really need any access brain! But this has been the case for a while. Examples: Abilify competitive marketplace and access issues- give it back to Otsuka. Diabetes access issues- sell to AZ. Erbitux access issues- Give it back to Lilly. HCV issues, guess what will be the solution?!

that is funny. All you need to know, is that their is a reason Allen got the Nationals and John has the Regionals. John doesn't have the skill set to negotiate and lead the NAE team, Allen does. Plus Allen has the respect of the team where John would not have.

Amen. John blows and not just RS Alan is the man. Love working for him. Leaves us alone and trusts his people. Complete opposite of John.
