    Nah. APOC has expanded greatly the past few years and the layoffs were 90% of IVIS at the satellite office across the street.

    So we are talking in abbreviations again. I heard this IVIS is the International Veterinary Information Service, which is a not-for-profit organization established to provide information to veterinarians. I would sell parts for cars instead. More money.

    IVIS stands for in vitro imaging systems. We were making a point of care hematology platform before Abbott canned it last Tuesday!

    India office is being closed due to new healthcare/research regulations. All indian contractors and AV staff laid off too

    What this means to you, my friend, is that they are probably seeking even cheaper countries in which to outsource. That means that you are probably really in trouble unless you are willing to work for a penny a month.

    I'm thinkin' more along the lines of Bangladesh. Vietnam has a growing tourist industry; they will want wage increases as soon as we set up shop. They'll probably go where the sweatshops are, by following the trail blazed by H&M, Nike, and Walmart.
