Implant Direct is not a Danaher company, which is why it is not listed on their directory. Danaher is the majority shareholder of the Joint Venture, along with Dr. Niznick, who remains President and CEO. That is why it continues to grow in the US at 20+% while other companies like Nobel and Zimmer are flat for losing sales

Ok ass clown, both Nobel and Zimmer have realized growth this year. Zimmer way more than any of the other large players. You should just stop the bullshit CP effort and accept your place in this business as "bottom feeders". Nobody really likes you and are ashamed to admit that they use you. You and your founder are the butt of every joke in the business. Sucks to wear your name badge!!

You should check your sourses - there are reps in FL that do very well.

Dude that is "sources" but yes, you are correct. The good reps do well on both sides of the isle from Nobel and Zimmer and there are plenty of them on the street unlike ID/Sybron or whatever you call yourselves now.

HERE IS AN INDUSTRY REPORT BY AN ANLYSIS ENTITLED:
BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE, REFERRING TO PREMIUM PRICED COMPANIES. Niznick created the Value Segment with high quality compatible implants and abutments in 2006 and in just 6 years, changed the industry .....again!

How true. Niznick has lost his shine just like Eastwood. (Old fucking fools that don't know how to get out when they're ahead)

ID reps told me Nizzy couldn't explain his own comp plan at the meeting last week. Many reps are already looking to leave. Nizzy still can't figure out that the more that reps make in commission the more he makes. He throws nickels around like they are manhole covers. You are 70 years old Nizzy - why can't you reward your reps - the ones that make the company grow? Thank God I'm not there.

Implant Direct moved from #5 to #3, just two votes behind Straumann, on the Townie voting while 3i dropped from #3 to #6 and Zimmer stayed at #4. BH dropped to #7 just above Hiossen. Reps at any company get paid for growing sales and no implant company is growing as fast as Implant Direct - anticipated growth of 30+% this year in NA. When companies don't grow, not only do the reps not make commissions, the company cuts jobs as Straumann just did to 150 people and Nobel has been doing for the last 3 years.

Lets be clear, you were voted 3rd by a bunch of idiot GP's who think they are more than they are. Ive said it before, its easy to show growth when you at the bottom selling your garbage to dumbass GP's. I know what your comp plan is and its why there's been 3 of you in my market already. I knew they last one from another company and I know the truth. You will always be a bottom tier implant copy cat that believes low price = value. Shiznick is the butt of every joke and so are ID sells people. You are creating your own mess and it will cost you.

I hate to burst your bubble. Having an ear from Wall street that studies our implant industry, even the lower tier companies (don't forget your place) will only mid single digits, while the top tier will struggle to stay at static growth to lower single digits. It's all about money on hand per procedure. If it cost 2000 for an implant placement, yet implant direct is $75 less, what makes you think that $1925 would make it any better for the patient, assuming that the specialist would pass on the savings.

Wake up lower tier, you don't create the market demand, you just under cut it. What happens when there's consolidation and you really have to sell (assuming you decide to work for a larger tier). Believe me, that day is coming.

That is like assuming you are smart which you obviously are not.

The savings wiil not be passed on -ever, by any of them.

    You are stupid.

You just justified my point, then called me "Stupid." Really???? Must be one of the lower tiered reps who don't listen and 2 minutes into the sales calls says "hey, we are cheaper." Gotta love those guys.

Why did Implant Direct just have a price increase of 20% on all their implants? Uh-Oh. Either Danaher wants their money because quickly and they realized what its like to have Niznick involved or the sales people will get a fair comp plan. Any ideas why they raised their prices by $25?

It's a typical Harvard Business Review Report:

Here's a company who's business model was to be the known as the "Value-added" segment leader by providing an alternative product of "as or like" quality (Basically, a generic player).

Game plan is to penetrate the market at a low entry price point and streamline operations by converting a turn key plant for quick turn-around on demand. Most demand as we know initially was to product dump the market.

You got to give it to the guy, he did accomplish becoming a value added segment leader, and based on his past corporate experience, why would anyone be surprised? And he parlayed it to a merger with one of the biggest corporations in the world....Impressive.

However, the forshadowing senses has not played out to their advantage. The market stalled, and although they would always claim a growth factor during these difficult times, it was probably a PR spin job idea of a smoke screne. In reality, it's my opinion that Danaher knew that there would be growth, but the expectation to this point falls short on the growth projections they had in mind.

So, what to do? Knowing that growth isn't really where it was suppose to be. That hurts their ROI schedule which is a determining factor as to wether a company would like to strike a merger. Well, what else? Price increase!

It is what it is. However, the interesting part is that this company is on a cross road. Maybe, they turn right and try to leverage existing relationships and establish (ahem)...credibility? Possibly leading to a move to become a Premium Player? Or continue straight on and it's business as usual?

Love to hear what you guys think..... I think.

I think they are changing everything that made them what they are. You cant be a premium player when you simply copy everyone elses products. I truly believe ID has no clue as to who they are today. How do you walk into an office and tell the doc youre from implant Direct?? Not really direct if youre walking in the office now are ya?? I guess what I'm saying is you will never be top tier and youre not direct either so what are you.....value tier??? Truth is if everyone else drops thier pants and sells implants for $200, ID goes away. You have no relationships as youve sold on price and the fact no one needs support. That my friend is who you are. Youre a cloan implant trying to play big boy and youre digging your own hole. You will force the price per implant down and yourself out of the game.

Comp-Plan...Poor pay, and if you sell you don't get fired....if you don't get fired, they raise you quote to a level which you can't hit..then you get fired, or your boss might sleep with you, then fire you. You never know.
