Lets be honest. Your quota for 2012 is based on 2010 sales in your territory so there is always a two year lag. That way whenyou grow a territory on year, you will benefit from it for the next year rather than have your quota raised as other companies do. BioHorizon just laid off a bunch of experienced reps and Nobel reps are certainly not experiencing the kind of growth Implant Direct is. Here is why - best products, best prices, best marketing materials, best value, best customer service - that is what Niznick is investing in to make it easier for salespeple to increase sales.

Imagine walking into an account and seling the doctor. Then showing him online ordering (its a policy here at ID) so the doctor can order everything online and never has to call you. When your baseline & quota is raised and the goals are impossible, Niznick's response is that you as a rep are not managing that account any longer. The telemarketers are and so is the online website. In other words, you are out there busting your hump, putting your relationships at risk but all your efforts mainly go to fill Niznick's pockets and to pay for the commission of a telemarketer who did nothing to sell the account. Trust me brother, if you enjoy real sales job, this place will ruin it for you. But if you are interested in working hard and not getting paid well for it and having Niznick tell you that its his genius that grew the business and thats why you have a humiliating baseline, then please contact HR at Implant Direct. They are hiring!

Out of the whole "best" list you just typed that you attrubute to ID, the only one not laughable is price, and as we all know (especially you, Gerry), there is always some crappy implant lurking around the corner that can beat you on your precious "price" point.....yes, even yours.

The previous poster/employee is correct--in order to recruit and retain the "best" talent, unfortunately, you must allow them to make what they're worth, and that's just part of this particular equation--they need to be compensated even further to put up with the ridicule of working for an outfit called "Implant Direct".

You're an idiot. There are companies that beat your price everyday, your "look at me, I'm just like you" website is a joke (is this what you meant by marketing materials?), value - you talking about the all in one fmt??? and Shiznick isnt investing in anything you crack pot! You do know he sold the company, right?

Niznick is to Implant Direct what Mark Zuckerberg is to Facebook. Both created something good and now they can't get out of their own way, only to watch as their ship slowly, but surely sinks. The advantage they both have is that they both already sold out, so they won't get hurt, but their people and their investors sure will. Great egos think alike. Isn't funny how self destructive these types of personalities are.

How can he be "self destructive" if he sold to Zimmer in 2001 for $100M and sold to Sybron in 2010 for 3 X that amount, and is now semi-retired? You sound like Obama....and are against success.

The only ships that are sinking in the implant industry are those of the Premium Priced companies because they need to discount like crazy to hang on to their customers moving to compatible products from Implant Direct at 1/3rd their list price. Nobel's stocks are down 84% since Niznick launched the RePlant Implant. Zimmer was down 18% last quarter. Straumann is flat and just bought 49% of a Brazilian Implant company for $300M that is selling poor quality Branemark external hex clones for $60 - so much for their high ethics of only selling top quality products that they claim justify their high prices. 3i and BioHorizons are trying to sell because they are going nowhere fast and their ASP is dropping.

The only person with an Obama-like plan in this conversation in Niznick. Look at the comp plan. If your dimwitted ass knows anything about politics, then you'll recognize how Niznick's comp plan is identical to Obama's plan for the country. Obama and Niznick should be on the ticket together - they can hand out orange M&M's with Niznick's face on them. Niznick's raisin skinned ass can do a lecture and talk to an empty chair just like Eastwood (old fucking fools). Let me learn ya. Basically, top performers earn the same as entry level people. If you are a bottom of the barrell sales person, you can make as much money as a super talented sales person in your 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. This means, that if you are a strong sales person, you do not belong at ID. If you have no real sales experience, Implant Direct will hire you. Its sad. The majority of our sales people know absolutley nothing about dental or sales - ID will seriously hire any"warm"body..so please apply. Worst mistake I ever made. The trick isn't getting in, its getting out.

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out if in fact you are an unhppy ID sales rep. If you are right that the majority of ID salespeople know "absolutely nothing about dental or sales" then that speaks volumes for the product selling itself because Implant Direct is growing faster in the US than any implant company. The fact is that Implant Direct has a very dedicated, committed, knowledgeable sales force, and the company provides the best sales support with 3D videos, the largest ad budget in the industry and an inside sales partner for every outside sales person.

So youre saying that pretty soon ID will be the only one left??? Or are you saying based on gross sales ID is doing better than Nobel Straumann or Zimmer? Real easy to talk about % growth when your overall sells arent in the ball park with ANYONE. Now I'll let you in on a little secret because youre a moron. Straumann bought the brazilian company because its the 2nd largest implant market right now and growing. They wont be the last company to go this route either. The price point you quoted is one of the reasons why they had to buy into a company and even YOU cant compete at that price point. Zimmer US wasnt down the 18% as you stated and YOU ARE STILL A CLONE IMPLANT! You arent why Nobel's stock is down clown. As a matter of fact, while everyone else is investing in technology, you are getting left behind. While everyone else is growing into other markets, youre fighting for the scraps in the US. Keep selling on price. Keep popping off about shit you know nothing about. I know you probably dont feel stupid, but you should. Run your comments through your manager before you popped off again (although, that might not be a good idea either. He's probably as dumb as you).

The Straumann purchase of the Brazilian company was smart. They will only allow that implant to be sold in countries with economics like Brazil, where premium pricing can never work to dominate the local markets. They will keep the offerings separate and keep production separate from their premium line. Nobel has more comeback ability than people realize, and will most likely right the ship and start gaining market share again. 3i, Astra, and Zimmer have much more firepower and legitimacy and are quite capable of not only defending, but growing their lines.

If ID keeps claiming the "fastest" growth in the market for the next five years, (as they have for the past five), they would already be #1 in the world. I've never heard of or seen more unsubstantiated drivel in my life than from the mouthpieces (probably just Gerry of course) of this comedic "leader". Let them talk. It's really all they've got.

The old adage still applies: the loudest bigmouth in the fight is usually the weakest, and the least to be feared.

Here is what Morgan Stanley just published on the Premium Priced Companies
    August 24, 2012
    Dental Implant Update
    Q2 Market Growth Turns
    Negative Again at -2%
Q2 CY12 premium dental implant growth came in at
-2% with Q1’s recovery proving to be a one-off. We
have thus reduced our premium market growth from
    +4% to +0% in 2012 and from +5% to +3% in 2013,
    reiterating our Underweight recommendation.
    BRANDED MARKET GROWS -2% IN Q2 CY12
Total WW – in Q2 2012, constant currency (cc) market
growth is estimated at +1%, down from +4% in Q2. Our
estimates include the low cost segment, which is based
on discussions with private companies; accuracy of
these details cannot always be verified.
Branded WW – in Q2 2012, cc market growth was -2%,
vs. Q1 at +1%, despite easier comps of +2% vs. Q1 of
+5%. Our momentum indicator has decelerated sharply
to +0% vs. +6% last quarter.
Branded US – for Q2 2012, we estimate cc market
growth slowed materially to +1% vs. Q1 of +6% and Q4
2012 of +9%. Momentum has fallen to +7% in Q2 from
    +15% in Q1.
Branded EU – for Q2 2012, we estimate cc market
    growth rates of -5%, slightly down from Q1 of -4%;
moreover, momentum has weakened from -2% to -7%.

Niznick is a moron. In the end, he will lose. Salespeople will get what they deserve and he will have to go along and eventually get the f*** out. Its already happening. This is why Niznick hates salespeople - he knows how much power a salesforce has on the potential success of a company and he is too stubborn to admit it. But his hand will be forced and is already being forced. Wait till Danaher tells him what his 25% is worth......just wait! The old fuck may just have a heart attack onthe spot.

    c'mon guys, admit it!
Gerry Niznick never has and never will lose!
He has won evry court case his competitors have tried to bring against him, unlike Nobel's latest class action!
He sold 75 percent of his company for over 300 million US and true to form, is guiding Implant Direct through immense growth.
Its on public record that the percieved "big implant companies" are losing market share which is bringing their share prices down.
This is all pure fact, not an opinion, it cannot be disputed.

"Immense growth"? - never seen any proof of it. Nothing of public record, no announced earnings.

Of the top 5 companies in the world (of which ID is not close to being), 4 of the 5 have grown "immensely" since the start of ID.

Still have never lost one specialist to ID in the company's short and non-illustrious career, and they continue to laugh at the notion of using such an unproven, poorly made line of product. Sybron bought it because they had no chance of real implant market share prior to the purchase. They still have no chance, and now bear the brunt of the ridicule this company endures on the streets.

Simplicity seems to be what will help you get there.

Implant Direct has a parent Danaher that has more money than any other parents that play in the implant game including Dsply. The growth numbers are public through the industrial sector that Implant Direct reports up through. I know it sucks for you to have no education on the matter but facts are facts. The broader market is fleeing from the likes of Nobel et. al.

Here is Nobel's "immense" growth in Euros. 2007 was Implant Direct's first full year (launched Oct 2006) and by the end of 2010, it was worth $300M so get real.

    2008 2009 2010 2011 2012

So you think Implant Direct is a Clone comany because it makes compatible products better and less expensive than the "premium" priced implants?
Don't you wish your implant company could support its sales force with products, videos and prices like this:

There's no doubt you're a clone company clown. Have you ever seen your website? You actully compare your implants to every major system on the market. Hell, you even copied clear choice! You are the only system that does this. What have you been 1st to market with?? So you have an implant that looks like Zimmer, Nobel and Straumann but you're not a clone??? Hum......you're a moron and GN has done a WONDERFUL of hiding the obvious from you idiots. Still not sure why you don't get it when everyone else does. In an effort to not hurt your feelings I'll stop calling you a clone and start calling you a "me too" company. Will that do?

Even Danaher is ashamed to call Implant Direct one of its own - most Danaher companies carry much respect. I was talking to a Kerr and and Sybron Endo rep and they said they don't want Implant Direct anywhere near them ...... Take a look at Danaher's companies and ID is nowhere - http://www.danaher.com/business-directory
