This is mainly true. But isn't it ironic that the 15 guy will always point to all the " sales awards" he has won to try and prop up his ego? So the numbers are bogus for their bogus jobs except when it comes to their own numbers and rewards which are justified? Which is it?

The truth is they are bogus in a bogus job. If Merck isn't going to eliminate its sales force then it should at least eliminate any sales awards or bonuses that is largely based on this fiction.

The reality is, on the scale of what drives prescription numbers, a " salesperson" is so far down the list, they are almost invisible.

 

I have sent my manager the names of two slackers over the weekend. I am, on going, to bring these putrid maggots into the light. Save our jobs!

 

They aren't truly invisible just look at all the customers they meet over pizza and chocolate chip cookies.

 

I just found out how little my bonus is going to be...
