    The other posts about the whining over 1.5-3% and how other jobs don't get paid what we're paid and blah blah blah - stuff a sock in it. I didn't hold a gun to Merck's head when they hired me at this salary - it's what THEY were offering. Most of the time they are offering that salary commensurate with experience and for the rate within the market I'm in.

    If I work hard and produce results I have every reason to be put off by 1.5-3% for a raise.
    The cost of living doesn't adjust itself to what Merck deems fits their profit plan.

    I don't see the officers suffering this low pay scheme. Ken's not worried we'll outsource his CEO post. What the hell has he done to inspire the rank and file to return the company to greatness? Some would argue that is the most critical of his job responsibilities - in the outside world it's called leadership.
