Right now the EPBU is contracted through July 1, 2016. Does anyone have any actual insight into whether we will get an extension? My manager says all indications are we will continue with the contract. I'm concerned because budgeting is already completed at Merck and we still have no news with only 6ish months left.

Though signature does not mean much in contract pharma,
    NO SIGNATURE means a lot

I was wondering the same thing. I wouldn't be suprised if they gave us two months notice in April that it is over. They have always given us at least a years notice that we are continuing.

This was one of the longest running contracts at Publicis. We all knew it would end one day so no one should be shocked that the end is near.

Not shocked. But would be nice if they gave us a definite answer as to what is happening with this contract.

If Merck was on the ball, they would give EPBU the RSS portfolio. That sales force is not returning on investment. Then, they would get rid of all the worthless targets they dumped on us starting this January. Finally, they would appropriately resource the us. Of course, that would mean some pain since we would only need around two thirds of current rep count.

The humble opinion of a very old rep

I would be very shocked they need us unless they are giving up there are 5 full time symbicort reps in my territory compared to part time me and the RSS specialist that calls in some of my customers They need us !!!

We were already given tentative dates for an EPBU September 2016 regional meeting. Why would they be planning these if the contract wasn't going to be extended?

Strange reply today on the sales conference call when someone asked about the contract-the guy seemed very evasive

I'm just hoping that Publicis is not selling our souls to the devil to continue this contract. Making all kinds of promises that we have to fulfill with no extra compensation for us.

Agreed, the answer on the call was very evasive. Possibly time to jump ship. If they don't lock this up soon I would think it would be like and evacuation here soon.

The RSS has gotten more responsibility they are not going away I have been here since the beginning and I would stay but I need a pay check and they are hanging us out to dry if they can sign they need to or they will have huge turn over.
