First stop should be RMS leadership past and present. Those guys couldn't keep it between the lines even if they were riding on rails.

    Could be any division actually.

Suture was pretty shady in Cleveland and Pittsburgh under SD in 2009.

What else do you think Scott D ran at Cov before leaving for Davita and Spectranetics? RMS.

Wasn't at RMS when he there, but according to colleagues that were, FDA compliance not in BUs lexicon. This carried over to leadership under Pete W, Bob W and Jim W. RMS is least compliant device company I have ever worked for in my career.

If the lead investigator is smart, they'd post contact info here. Use vascular investigation as a wedge, offer amnesty, anonymity and a % of award to current and former employees. People would come out of the weeds. Utilize new info to broaden scope of the investigation to other divisions.

Sure there is a gold mine pre iPhone iMessage in blackberry messenger enterprise logs and msn messenger chat logs, since it was a company directory. If they don't have logs available, I don't think the Lois Lerner defense will work.

Other pot sources of info for DOJ

    1) Product development NDAs and consulting agreements
    2) Advisory board attendee lists, agreements and video recordings of sessions
    3) HCP speaker agreements for dinner meetings, regional national trade shows, internal company meetings etc
    4) Travel itineraries and expense reports list reasons for travel, people met, facilities visited, f&b entertainment attendees. aren't paid if info missing.
    5) Attendee lists for HCP training and assoc expense reimbursement
    6) Notes from offsite training meetings.
    7) Videos, notes and training materials from internal employee product training
    8) investigator sponsored studies and investigator sponsored research grant requests and approvals
    9) All communication, plans and materials re company sponsored studies
    10) All communication, plans and materials re med affairs strategies and reimbursement
    11) Company promotes advamed membership over years and exec participation in board. If not compliant, fraud? False advertising? Breach fiduciary duty?
    12) Corp Amex statements

Doubtful HCPs will have company's back.

    Or how about:

Falsely submitting that Drs attended a training session at another Dr office when they never actually were there... That way the Dr gets paid his money that he will use for paying his marketing expenses that he wanted the company to pay for.... Wink wink from Covidien RM on the money...

    Or this:

Utilizing Market Development Specialists to "educate" the local Referring physicians in order to drive utilization.. That's ok if it's done for everyone's benefit, but Covidien does it one better.. They provide this specialist to work with specific accounts to help them drive referrals to specific office... That's a no- no

And compare all this to customer lists internal and sales, start with VP travel and above, and run everything against line items in the general ledger.

Do an internet search for "covidien gis and given to combine salesforces". Kind of interesting.
Threads for GIS and other divisions.

Save all your backup on the crap leadership has pulled to protect your ass. These investigations last years and the MDT acquisition won't hide anything.

Does this have anything to do with why tne two Philadelphia vascular reps were fired last week?
Timing is interesting or is it just a coincidence?

Is it likely MDT will sell/dump RMS? Maybe GE will buy RMS no?
