Does Noven use direct reps or do they use a contract salesforce? Thank you.

What does it matter? This outfit will be out of business soon.

It's all contract at this point! Stay away if at all possible!

Here's the deal (since 90% of the people who post just bitch and never give reasons why or answer a simple question), corporate has made it very clear that they will not be filling empty territories (reps and managers) with full time Noven employees. Right now it is contract, but that could be short lived (Actually, I'm surprised they are even bringing in contract reps, if you've been contacted?) Brisdelle, their new (actually 2 year old product now) has been a huge (I can't emphasize HUGE enough) disappointment. The company rolled the dice that $100 million in DTC ad campaigns and summertime heat would pick the sales up, but that just didn't happen. Mostly because there is a generic version and Brisdelle (generic paroxetine, or Paxil) has poor managed care. The sales have been flat since December 2014. Many solid reps have left, as well as some great managers. Predictions are another major layoff is imminent, probably in September or October. Noven does have two other products they could have promoted over this same time period but chose to sweep them under a rug for no apparent reason (Minivelle and CombiPatch). But Mini now has 2 generic competitors and CombiPatch is scheduled to be generic soon. Neither have been promoted over the last 2 years because the company thought a repackaged Paxil (Brisdelle) was a better way to go. Pretty much every rep an manager is still scratching their head with that decision making. So, long story short, if you need a job then take it. It may only be short-term but it's something. If there is another opportunity with more security, even if less pay, you may want to consider that instead. Things will be changing quickly come late September and into the autumn. Focus is being shifted SLOWLY (for unknown reasons. Should have shifted a year or more ago) back towards Minivelle and Combi Patch because 1) they work and 2) doctors like them. Unfortunately, their days are numbered as generics will eventually take hold and replace them. BTW, Noven makes one of the generics that competes with Minivelle. That one cracks me up! There is nothing in the pipeline that is a saleforce promoted product, so you are looking at a downsizing to probably 50-60 reps from the 115 or so we have now until the Mini and Combi numbers drop, then no more salesforce. Unless Noven buys a product or sign a co-promote. But rumor has it they won't spent the money, nor does Hitsumitsu (they run Noven) want to buy something just too buy something. Especially after the $100 million Brisdelle debacle. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

Finally; a matter-of-fact statement not laced with hate or irony. Noven has lost so much intellectual property over the last few years that their demise is imminent. Poor investment on Hisamitsu's part, unless they simply use the property as an extended manufacturing facility for their Salonpad line. We all watched it unfold.

Debacle is an understatement ... Minivelle could have brought in what they hoped Brisdelle would.... They should have made each executive be a rep for a day or 2 so they could see what is really going on! But no, they don't listen to sales force ..

I think we all know the definition of insanity by now here at Noven. Guess we are all seeking peace in the quiet.

talk about loss of intellectual property...OP this thread is looking to lift sales force structure information for his paid for research report. Commercial side gap analysis had some holes he needed to fill. for free.
