Does anyone have details on this contract? The recruiter was vague.

Had a quick phone interview with recruiter. Moved on to a Skype interview next week. Pay around 65. Descent territory. Now to compete with everyone else laid off

I emailed my recruiter... Small contract , like 18 people to start... May expand in 6 months.
    It's selling an insulin pump

It's selling a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). It's the first FDA approved fully mobile one that sends the glucose info from its sensor to an app on a smart phone. Very cool sounding. Not an insulin pump.

Did you move on to Skype? I was told I was moving on to Skype, but have not heard anything as of yet. I heard Skype interviews are next week.

The recruiter sent more paperwork to fill out and asked for my Skype address a couple of days ago. No date yet.

    Skype interviews this week
Narrowed down the candidates to a few for the skype and will chop that down to 2 to fly for face to face next week.

Do you think it's all a facade and in the end they will choose reps with device background instead of displaced synergy reps?

As a recent CSO sales manager I can tell you that often (all) contract sales organizations will just go thru the motions of interviewing candidates when one has really already been chosen. That way they get to bill the client company for the interviews which is a lucrative charge.

You should take that knowledge to 60 minutes so everyone can see the crap that goes on.

What are the chances of becoming a full time employee? Not interested in being a stupid contract rep. How mych are the bonuses?

Then go apply for direct hire. They have a specialty sales force. This is primary care. Maybe be grateful and take it for what it is, a chance to add DME to your resume. I don't know why everyone shit's all over contract. It's a great way to add experience in different disease states that you normally may not be able to get. Yeah it may pay less and have the greater chance of layoff, but I find it to be more laid back and even when I have been through a layoff the contract company has placed me quickly after. Big pharma isn't going to help to find you another job when they drop the ax.

They are not interested in hiring displaced Publicis reps. Only hiring outside. What a joke this company is!

I had noticed that they were advertising the job on one of the sites. I think it was Indeed.

So I am not surprised to hear what you are saying.

It's my understanding that they have a specialist sales force and this will be primary care. They are launching primary care with 17 reps and will expand to 100 over the next 12 months. Why bother flying candidates to NJ if they aren't interested. The Publicis DM's are already in place.

Companies don't actively advertise on Indeed.com (and most other internet job sites). Indeed and others have software that scavenges the internet(including Touchpoint site) for job listings then posts them as their own. All they do is aggregate viewers and sell that demographic to advertisers (cookies, etc)

This thread is a bunch of "know it all's" that got their feelings hurt because they were rejected for another position.
This "displaced Publicist rep that this company wouldn't hire" was offered a position and from my understanding there were a good bit of us.
