Dentsply- Good company to start out with???

Dentsply, thanks to the recent downsizing of authorized distributors, now has ore end user info than ever. Accordingly, their reps are micromanaged heavily. All of the end user data is filtered to regional managers and they know exactly where you are shy on numbers month to month. On top of the pretty aggressive goals they have to meet to hope to make a bonus.

As good a company as they may be, I would never work for them.

Alot of negative comments, however, even angry former employees must admit that Dentsply provided them with a solid foundation in their career and still looks good on their resume. Dentsply is a global leader in every dental segment...consumables, equipment, orthodontics and dental implants. Some of the best managers in the industry work for this company. Bottom line great company to start with in your career.

Are you nuts?? Time at Dentsply is time wasted. It only looks "good" on your resume if you stay in the dental industry. No one outside of dental has ever heard of Dentsply. And depending on how long you spent trying to "fit in" the take-aways from this company can be a damaged psyche, lack of self-confidence in your own abilities and a finely tuned sense of distrust for managers and co-workers.

As far as having "some of the best managers in the industry" working for this company. Sorry, they left years ago. The ones who are left, are those who play the game and are skilled at stepping on their own people to stay employed. Get real.

About the only good thing to come from working at this meat grinder is the ability to know when "enough is enough" and a chance to get your real priorities in order. Hint, hint: it ain't making your Siebel numbers.

You're too late. The great ones are gone....DK, DB, BF all gone from merchandising. Time to fold the department and get back to selling dental the old fashioned way.....no vision, no passion, no results.
