    Hey wiseguy....

No one asks to be bullied. No one deserves to be bullied.
    No one. Absolutely, no one.

The reality; weakness is a big part of bullying.
Its sad when people need to ridicule and put down others to feel adequate about themselves...

So MRK is still hiring misogynist Cretans? Men, men, and more men to sell, sell, sell.
But only real men, please. MRK needs brutes to deliver carry-out to physician offices because they can carry heavy stuff. At least those muscles are good for something.

And maybe if the he-men are lucky, a doc will stop by for a minute so those real men can sell, sell, sell! And then squeal, squeal that they earned their salaries to pay the bills for their offspring and little womenfolk. Bravo, big guys!

Maybe in a perfect world. What color is the sky in yours? It's always funny about the bully is the one who is really weak. Actually that's a no. It toughens up the weak. The funniest is the class reunions. The ones who were bullied still bitch like girls about it 15 years later. Maybe they deserved more.

I used to work here and is married to a scientist at Merck. Naturally no one should be bullied. I think any man has the ability to become a bully. What power my husband thinks he has goes right to his head. Was he bullied, yes. Could he bully others, yes.

Speaking up isn't courageous at Merck. It's stupid. Thousands have learned that lesson the hard way.

I think I know who you are. He's an idiot. Sorry about the choices you made. You are the man in the marriage. That's got to get old.

    Better luck next time.

All Merck want you to be is a good wife. Shut your mouth and you might learn something. Listen and only speak when spoken to. If Merck wants your opinion it will give it to you first. Then ask for it back. It's a good old boys system. Always has been and always will. If you are a guy and can't control your wife you will never move up. It's a sign of weakness. If you are going to open your fat bitch mouth against the good old boys network then you get what is coming to you. You can screw around all day long. As long as you don't make waves everything will work out fine. If you know your place you can move up with no trouble. It's always better to be a mistress of a rich man then the wife of a poor man. Think of Merck as that rich man. Every promotion is given before it's posted. Every cut is done way before it is given out. You don't really think we only cut the poor performers? That is third or forth on the list.

Just keep the mouth shut and be a mistress to Merck. Even if you are a guy.

Nothing wrong with that. It's the way it is.

    What a warped view......

You're saying ...have any problem where you voice concern, objection or whatever and you are out the door. It's a keep your mouth closed place. Doing what is right will be seen as wrong....doing what is the wrong will be seen as right.

It's is like a wife, an abused wife (or husband). She keeps her mouth closed, stays in the marriage and the wrong continues....

This may all be true about life at Merck....but its a sign Merck (and you) need major therapy.

It just the way it is. Somethings will never change. You need the therapy. You are at fault. If you kept the yapper shut you would have been in a much better place. Why use your voice if no one wants to hear it. It will only get you in trouble.

Every place is like that. You're warped for not understanding it.

And so we must never expect decency and respect to prevail....since those things come from only the honorable....

Another sad statement about life around these parts...

Prime directive is to turn over the work force. All new hires after 2013 are not in the old pension plan. The sooner that turn over occurs, the better.

Nobody wants to get thrown over board prematurely (so gotta keep head down). Many have a few years to get some $ out of this place!

"shut your mouth" "listen and speak only when spoken to," "old boys system," "know your place," "be a mistress" Definitely someone who is not a fan of the feminine gender. Incredible to think this might be representative of Merck's command.

ALL means everyone. The decision has been made and sighed off. Massive savings to the company. No healthcare, benefits or retirement. The bottom line is a big winner.

Employer mandate? Merck is part of the health care industry reaping the benefits of the ACA. Merck has offered employee health insurance for decades. Obamacare has nothing to do with sweeping pension-eligibles out the door.

It's cheaper to hire contract employees, so "Adios" to the benefits that earlier generations enjoyed. You can thank Reagan for starting, and Bush, Clinton, Bush, and now Obama for perpetuating global outsourcing and off-shoring

You're nuttin' but a commodity regardless of where you live.
And the less secure you are, the better it is for those at the top of the heap. .
