How are things in their California market. I was contacted by a headhunter for a position from what I was able to gather from my sources they have gone through several VP sales/ops positions and a ton of turnover with their sales force in the area

I use to work for Cardiosom, and I am so happy I do not work for them anymore! It amazes me that they are still in business, because they were constantly having their lights turned off for failure to pay the light bill, and it wasn't uncommon for them to lose their internet connection because they didn't pay that bill either.

The reason they do not have the money to pay their bills is because they are paying for "certain account managers" mortgages, paying for mileage not driven, and allowing individuals to work other jobs on company time. This is definitely true in their southern Indiana market...Too bad the other hard working individuals in the company don't get the same benefits!

I would advise you to steer clear of them. They promise things that never materialize and others that have held the position have had their salaries cut, have waited months to be paid commissions and their reputation is becoming tarnished.

They are trying to grow too quickly, are cash poor and have a history of trying to run branches with too few personnel...an impossibility.

Cardiosom branches have always been understaffed.

Now they are having Branch Managers cover multiple branches. Sometimes these branches are in different states.

This is not an optimal situation and is a particularly bad idea if the Branch Manager is a professional Respiratory Therapist who is not licensed in both states. That's practicing without a license and can have serious repercussions both for the therapist and the company that condones it.

Steer clear of this company. At the rate they're going they won't be around long and you'll be out looking for a job again.

Isn't that a line from Shrek??? "like an onion with many layers" What a crock and who would actually contact someone like this if they were legit?

  8. Everyone posting on this website except for Ryan are cowards behind a keyboard. No name, no credentials, no actual knowledge of how the community really works. Sad to say this is corporate America and you have rights not to work for these people yet you still do? Why don't you stop complaining and quit? I'm a patient and I like them just fine. GO CardioSOM!

Unfortunately I was referred to CardioSom and ended up getting a CPAP from them in some "rental" agreemnet through my insurance carrier. I regret any association I ever had with CardioSom. Their billing department is incompetent, unprofessional, and certainly questionable in their practices. They fail to post payment to patients accounts promptly then call the patient via telephone demanding payment for as little as $11 BEFORE THE DUE DATE LISTED ON THE BILLING STATEMENT. I consider this nothing less than harassment with the possible motive to dupe unsuspecting customers into making a double payment. I question the dates of service and statements filed with the insurance carrier as well. Some of those dates do not match any date I was in their office.

I have nothing good to say about this company and would steer clear of them if you have a choice.

They do not post their payments in a timely manner, and then try to collect. They only have one person posting ALL payments for the entire company. They use to have two people posting the cash, but Cardiosom was stupid and let one of their best employees go, and instead kept employees that have horrible work ethics and that do not give a shit about their job. Its more important for those types of employees to kiss the bosses A^^ then to do their job. It amazes me that they keep all the poor quality workers and they get rid of all the star employees. Just goes to show that their Management is a bunch of idiots. because everyone knows that a good leader surrounds themselves with smart people.

Aren't you the brave one who is so loyal to the company you work for by professing your name before everyone!!!! Bravo to you for fighting for your beloved company. To bad Cardiosom doesn't hold the same loyalty and value that you give to them. Let's see how far your loyalty gets you with them, when they let you go! I am not a coward, just smart enough not to allow people like you who are weak minded followers to lead me in to a lawsuit or ruin my reputation!

Mr. Bishop - do you mind specifying which branch is your provider?

I am a former Branch Manager for Cardiosom and am afraid to post my name for fear that they will retaliate.

There still are some good people working for this company. You must be getting service from one of the good ones that are still left.

  18. Thank you, Mr. Bishop. We do have great employees who genuinely care about patients and testimonials such as yours continue to pour in. I have posted my information numerous times in hopes of reaching the anonymous. Unfortunately, I have had no phone calls or emails attempting to gain clarification on any issue raised throughout the blog.

To all anonymous, I am here and will answer any questions, talk about factual statements/information and confirm how great this company truly is and will continue to be.

Feel free to email me directly or contact me at our main number.

I am an RRT and was wondering about a position in Carmel, IN that was open for a Clinical Specialist. Has anyone worked for this branch? How are on-call hours and the day-to-day operations? Just seeking an honest opinion before jumping into the job.

    Thanks

I'm not sure about who is currently running the Indy/Carmel branch but I do know one thing for sure and that is that they've been through multiple Clinical Specialists and the turnover is very high. I'd be inclined to look for another company to work for.

The on-call for Cardiosom was never a big issue. They're not big or busy enough, as in the Lincares and Aprias, to require that much after hours servicing.

Am very amused that Ryan continues to attempt to discredit the others who are posting about Cardiosom on this message board. It's his only defense because the way the company treats its employees cannot be defended.
