Are any of the managers reps in jeopardy of losing their jobs because of this??

I suppose it depends on whether you got the test via email or not.

At least my manager was smart enough to PRINT copies of the test for us.

Print or email...it does not matter. What is the point of this cleaning house then. If it is widely known that everyone shared information then wouldn't everyone be fired for receiving? This whole thing is unfortunate for those that were teminated. These reps still had to retain the info to take the test??? I think there is something else behind this IMO.

Well as far as I know there are only 4 managers in TX and a ZM in Texas

If the Houston Manager got fired that leaves the East TX manager (Based in DFW), the manager of W Texas (DFW), and San Antonio Mgr (Just started and based in either Austin or SA).

That would leave no managers left? Did all 4 really get fired?

More than that, not just TX. RK MT DW DE DW SB termintated managers from their team. We'll find out at the meetings. They're checking everything, archived emails, deleted emails. A lot of whistle blowing going on, don't trust anyone. Only way for the crap reps to move up the ladder.
    Good luck yall. Luck= gtfo

What an absolute stupid reason to get rid of managers. First I applaud Applied for promoting within. That means that it is likely all of these managers were some of the best reps the company ever had. These reps were loyal enough to stick around, build a territory, learn and support Applied, and move up. This is your talent. They then terminate them because of sharing a test or study guide. Last I checked the job is to know anything and everything about your procedure and products. Any type of tool to help you do that should be looked at in a positive way. If you end up with your competitor's training guide, learn it. If you end up coming across info on the internet, learn it. if you have an Applied Study guide, learn it.

They are more concerned about someone not knowing study guide and test material than they are about succeeding in business. Wow.

Any company has the legal (but probably not ethical) right to see and archive everything that is done on a company laptop. If Applied is now looking through all e-mails including personal ones and all websites visited (including postings on cafe pharma) on the company laptops that managers and specialists have, I have to believe we have just seen the beginning of the terminations.

The very best with many years of commitment and loyalty to Applied. Some 10+ years.

See, that is where many folks are getting confused. Everyone still had to "learn" the material. We had to take a written exam and regurgitate the materials, steps, processes, etc. It wasn't like somebody got busted with crib notes and literally "cheated" on the exam. People have been and likely will continue to be fired because Applied is back pedalling in order to prove it isn't company culture and this sort of thing is not permitted, nor allowed.

I spoke to my manager who knows a great deal of what is happening and why. The reps that were fired are rumored to have initiated a class action lawsuit against Applied for wrongful termination. The rumor is that the reps have said they were told to share the study guides and test materials with new hires, which they did. The new hires pissed some folks off at home office training and some of the non-included reps literally "told on them" that some reps had an advantage.

Because of the impending lawsuit and Applied trying to cover their ass, Applied had to investigate across the country to see if the test sharing was actually taking place. It was and that is why the terminations came about. The only manager I know of in the texas zone that is still employed is MC in houston. (Houston had two managers). All managers under craiger are now gone except MC.

This is so sad. And quite frankly, the company is dead wrong for doing what they are doing. Nobody should have been fired and those reps that started this ball rolling, they shouldn't have been fired either. If you think for one minute this situation and the loss of all of those talented people won't hurt our company bottom line, then you are an idiot.

Wait a minute. As far as I can tell, everyone here speaks English. So why do we have over fifty posts and nobody is mentioning who was fired outside of Texas?

Were there firings outside of Texas or not? What are the damn NAMES of those that got tossed? Quit dancing around the bush and answer the question.

YOU APPARENTLY DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.
"Reps and manager from different zones"
    "5-6 different zones"
"[zm initials] terminated managers from their team"
Are you retarded? Let me put it into full sentences for you: Yes, managers were terminated from multiple zones. Do you understand what that means? It means that yes, firings were outside of Texas. Put 2 and 2 together bro.
People are obviously being discreet to protect the individuals involved. All that info should be enough for your nosey dumb ass to figure out it's from multiple zones. MULTIPLE ZONES, YES! Now give it some fucking time and you'll find out at the meetings.

Don't be a fucktard. Some people don't want to wait for the details to eake out over the course of a month. If you know names, name them. Otherwise shut the fuck up.

This is a great company to work for. That is why most everyone on this board took the job at Applied. Be thankful you still have a job.

There's something more to this story. Getting canned just because you're being told to share information seems a bit crazy.

And I think since people who claim to know, aren't sharing names, makes it even more suspect. Stop with the stupid initials. You're not protecting anyone.

    It's about privacy and respect.
It's sad enough that these good people lost their jobs. If you lost yor job, would you want your name posted on a public site? Are you okay with that humiliation and the possibility of it negatively affecting your job hunt? Why do you need to know their names except for the fact that you're nosy? All you need to be concerned about is yourself and your own risk. That's why the discussion was started to tell you all to be careful. That's why ZM initials were provided so you know if it's happening around you. Besides that, you can mind your own business.

When the company you work for does something that is below board and by all accounts, unethical, it actually IS your business to investigate. As employees of Applied Medical, we must do our due diligence to ensure we work for a company that does things the right way because there actions do affect all of us.
