Company has issued a statement.

The drug would not be used in the way Bernie Sanders says it would, which means Senator Sanders is in error.

It also represents only 0.1% of revenue.

It's true that it's not used for more minor cases of lead poisoning as Sanders suggested, but only for acute cases, typically pediatric, since it is quite dangerous on its own. However, the company's statement that "The company also must purchase sufficient supplies of needed ingredients in advance and this can amount to three to five times more than recent annual sales, which were between $3 million and $5 million last year" is utter bullshit. The ingredients are EDTA and Calcium Carbonate, both of which are super cheap.
