This division had a huge reorganization after the new VP took over. Tons of turnover since then. A lot in the Carolinas, TN, Indiana (Blue Ridge Region) because the new RSD there is a nightmare. Not sure anyone who was in that region when he took over is still there.
JS isn't the issue. It's the 900 people in and out of each account representing a product that's been on the market since the last millennium. Share of Voice is so 1999.
I like JS. he seems like a good leader and a decent man. This person just must have a grudge against JS. A BR manager is an idiot, but it's not the RSD.
Believe it or not, turnover is the best thing to happen to this division. And we need much more of it.
Amgen still thinks it is 1999: Then it got spanked by competitions and added more reps to bring it back to 1999. Share of voice strategy is all over Amgen. So many f'n partners!
Amgen thinks their shit doesn't stink. They are losing people to Regeneron/Sanofi/Genentech and Gilead left and right. Those companies are paying BIG bucks and giving big stock to come over==PLUS sign ons. Amgen doesn't care that so many are losing. They are getting losers as far as new hires as anyone really good is going to the others. Amgen is big pharma at its finest.
there are a lot of open spots as so many left for other companies to make a lot more money. Plus, no one wants to sell Enbrel any longer. Amgen has given up on it as far as contracting. if you think Biotech is different...do not join Amgen.
...Yes the MDs are responding so well to the new reps, market share is increasing quickly. Am I right!
Watch the job postings. His region has consistently had the most vacancies since he got the job. He's only been RSD for 18 months and already at least half of the DMs he started with are gone. Most of these people had been with Amgen for a very long time. There is a reason.
New here..is it pretty normal not to have 1st quarter goals until the quarter is over? Does that seem fishy to anyone or am I missing something.
