Salary 80ish, car is 400-500 plus mileage. Last year they had to give bonuses because no one was making anything then they collected it back if you didn't hit a certain dollar amount. I'd think the range they gave is at plan but I'd say less than 5% hit plan. It's a great job if you want to make 100k and work 10 hours a week. Horrible if you want a career.

Thank you for your response...are the commissions if any paid out monthy or quarterly? So I'm guessing their figure of 140 to 150 is way overestimating. What are top territories producing in sales 400k, 600k etc?

Quarterly. Not sure about the "top" but I'd say 800-1.2... Applied lowers price consistently so those will probably go down. Its tough to tell because the comp plan for 2017 will come out in Feb or March so who knows how they will pay next year.

You're being told numbers that are completely unrealistic. Like the above poster said, if you want to work 10 hrs a week and sell irrelevant products that docs don't care about then do it but it's not a long-term position.

Rumor has it there is going to be a big push on a revolutionary trocar that has a balloon on it.. going to change lives. It was also their plan in 08, 10, 12, 14 - skipped a couple years so now 2017!

$10-15k average per qrtr in addition to the base. Base range for ALS $80-90K. Id say $120-$150K avg. Top earners have done better but low%. Only sell one product line at a predetermined set number of target accounts.

Salary High 70s or low $80Ks, expect to meet goals and get bonus paid only every other quarter, low $10Ks. Good job to get paid and work little; definitely a 1-2 year gig at most.

Did I say first year? I meant first week. Plus a private helicopter to fly you ride to the helipads of hospitals in the city, to save you valuable commuting time and help you avoid the horror of having to find a parking space. And did I mentioned the spa membership so you can end each day with a professional massage, with optional Happy Ending? Oh, boy, is this the job for you!

Rather than listening to this lying corporate ass-wipe, I suggest you ask whomever you would potentially be working for to state what the compensation is for that position each quarter when 100% of objectives are met, and on average what percent of employees in that position hit 100% of objectives. I can tell you there are some in upper management in specialty positions like this who purposely write subjectivity into the goals so that assessing their achievement is not black or white, as to always rate people at less than of 100%. If he/she tries to tell you that you'll be making a lot more because "things are set-up for you to hit 120%" or some other dubious claim, get specifics on the comp at that level and how many people hit 120% in an average quarter. Most important, get any compensation claims in writing (or e-mail) and save it. If you take the job and your comp is 40%-50% less (which, based on the $250K claim is about right) I suggest you sue the bastards and have your attorney subpoena W-2s of everyone in that position for the the past three years to show the jury what deceitful pricks Applied has on its management team. Their lying has to stop.

So let me get this straight: If the comp plan is setup so I can hit my targets to 100%, and my comp is only 50% of that, I should sue because I was told I could hit 100%, even though I didn't? Just so you know, my W2 is my business. It's none of your business, nor a jury's business or an attorney's business.

So I guess that's your green light to continue to lie with impunity, huh?

This is a post from an Applied manager. They patrol this board regularly.

I wrote the post about continuing to lie, and I think you misinterpreted it. I agree that Applied managers patrol this board, and are actively posting untruthful propaganda on it (I am not a manager). I'm the one who suggested getting any compensation claim in writing from the interviewer, then when you come on board and find that you and everyone else in that position are making $100,000 less, that you should sue them and have W-2s for everyone in that position subpeonaed to reveal how deceptive and unethical Applied managers are. When the manager responded that they can't do that I sarcastically replied that I guess that gives him the green light to continue lying. These bastards have to be stopped.

If the quality of "managers" is measured by guys like ZM Brian and D'Bag VP Nat Accts Dave, well then nothing else needs to be said

that nerd is horrendous. He rode the coattails and polished the knobs of DG and DM for years to finally get promoted. The only reason he got that position is because he is one of the few mgr's that has stuck around longer than 5 years. If you think about it, Applied really didn't have any other choice once his higher ups got promoted. Lesser of 2 evils of you ask me.
