Yes, that's it. Must be. But wait, how do we explain this: if we're the only one left standing, and have vanquished all the competitors, how is it that our market share has been steadily declining? Shouldn't it be growing?

ADC has free run with Libre for a few years. Then google + DexCom and others will catch up and pass ADC. Unless MW is willing to dump many many millions into R&D to keep up. Considering that ADC has trashed about 65% of its development group and starves them of resources shows that no future products will be forthcoming. Pipline is dry as a bone.

There's no "free run" with Libre. It will never actually hit the market in the U.S. Plans have said no, FDA requires a whole new protocol (Libre results do not confirm to existing BGM standards). Abbott will not invest to go down this path. The EU test is heavily subsidized, and eventually will have to stop. Once that happens, the socialist EU healthcare systems will never pay or it. There has been near zero R&D investment for the last 6 -7 years. The division is actively for sales. Get real, Libre boy, ADC is dead, and Libre is DOA.

Can't you read? This is what I just said. Abbott will NOT get Libre through FDA and they are not trying. It WILL be used in many other countries....until it's is obsolete which is a few years. I just stated that Abbott/ADC has no R&D for this stuff but you just restated what I said.

This is not Libre boy, just some who knows the industry. You sure have a bug up you butt about this stuff. ADC must have treated your really bad.

Miles will play his trump card here soon. He will turn to Dunky who has valuable experiences running the Precision brands form 20 years ago. Precision Soft Tac, QID. , Extra.... The products that changed diabetes monitoring and got Dunky promoted into the big leagues!

Yes, and don't forget the massive, industry ground breaking success he has had with ADC. Duncan is an industry icon, as well respected, and well known, as Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. Duncan single handley turned ADC into the leader in Diabtes, the #1 BGM company in the U.S. J&J, Roche Brothers, Bayer, have all run from ADC away like girly-men from Duncan. I can't imagine what more he can do, but bring it on, Miles, we're ready!!

You forgot to mention Dunky is a star on "Dance Party,". His "Members Only" wardrobe was sent to the disco hall of fame!

Duncan invented disco; at least that's what I hear anyway. He started it when he was working as an Elvis impersonator in college, and his gyrations took on a life of their own. It's that same pioneering spirit that has helped him reinvent the entires BGM industry, and lead ADC to be the most respected and innovative company in the U.S. I've heard, from Duncan, at the bar at sales meetings, that he actually counseled Bill Gates, leading to his invention of Windows. Miles owes Duncan big time!

At a recent sales meeting after dinner get together, I heard Duncan talking to some of his "inner circle". It sounds to me like Miles really should be thanking Duncan for Abbott's success. Those with Dunan at the this affair, ADC's elite best-and-brightest, all agreed with everything Duncan said, so I know it is all fact. To be honest, it made me loose a little respect for Miles, with him taking credit for the ideas Duncan has given him over the years.

You talking about the "Disco Duck" who lathers up in Old Spice at the meetings before heading down for social hour.

Yep. Fits his background as well, sexually and ethnically. From Vanityfair on history of Disco:

"... Rooted in funk, it became known, and ultimately reviled, as Disco ... the music that surged out of gay underground New York clubs such as the Loft and 12 West in the early 70s..."

Disco music is funk with a bow tie." —Fred Wesley, James Brown’s trombonist.

There was a list of tenure at companies. For Abbott the average employment is 5.5 years. So wait that long and your are almost guaranteed to be cut. Unless of course your are one of the "chosen ones",i.e., inept manager. These guys hang around for many years....

Yup that and cruising the local junior college to recruit prospective ADC talent pool for the national meeting dance contests.

Indeed, it is a fact that Duncan is the genius behind Miles, and all of Abbott's success. It also fact that J&J, Bayer, Roche, and all the others owe their success to studying Duncan's strategies and tactics; their failure are directly attributable to where they have failed to comprehend Duncan's genius. As an ADC employee, any pharmaceutical company will pay top dollar to hire you just to gain whatever knowledge you have gained from exposure to Duncan. That's why I cannot understand why people complain here about Duncan's little quirks: when ADC PIP's you out, or outright even fires you, you can be assured to quickly find employment, and be set for life financially. That's why I don't mind if he puts his hand on my leg at dinner, or on by a$$ while dancing, or tries to get me to his room. Just wait until then end of the night, and passes out anyway in a few minutes.
