Agree mapping done, reps have been decided etc. Why whenever we have a layoff is it always so vague what criteria used to place the reps? Just to keep us guessing and working on selling patch. Like we think it will make a difference at this point.
They know what criteria were used and in what order of importance. Is it kept secret so they keep people they want that would normally be out to fit diversity goals?
Will be interesting to see how many are mapped to a huge formally white spaced territory that is not even close to where they live.

That will be interesting. It happens every time. Can you opt to take a severance if thus happens to you? Or do you have to quit if you can't deal with the distance or can't move and get nothing?

In past you could claim hardship and if approved receive the severance package. Who knows this go around.

They keep it vague in the hopes that the reps will work and continue to make them $. Imagine if they told us, those that don't have jobs, (60 of us) will stop and look for jobs to prepare. They still have to impress the shareholders.

Over the past five years we have gone through this several times. Layoff, mapping, severance, and still the same posts come up every time. What criteria, what if a one in the territory, how many reps? It goes on and on until the first call of the morning. Just know that the mapping has most likely already occurred. Criteria will always be a mystery, it's designed to be that way to avoid any impropriety, great people will not be mapped and will hopefully find a better position for them in the new structure while others will be kept. Let it happen or take charge and move on to your next challenge. We are in control of our future if we embrace it as opposed to clinging onto the past. Good luck to all.

Get real. It will not only be 60 reps. Remember, don't do the math. White space for patch will need cv coverage. I say 35-40% of PC reps gone.

That doesn't make sense. If the Exelon Patch white space territories are going to be filled, that would mean more reps are going to keep their jobs, not less. Where the hell are you getting 40%?

I think the poster means that a lot of white space is in areas where there is no current rep nearby. There are entire states that were white spaced. Those territories will have to be filled externally because there is no current rep close enough to fill it. Those positions are counted in the 318, therefore more then 60 reps will be displaced.

What qualifies a rep for being mapped to a particular territory? Is it where they live from the base city of the territory or distance to any edge of the territory and what is the distance cut off?
