It seems like most people got a new territory or one town from their old territory. What the heck were they thinking when they drew the territory lines...

My territory doubled in size. (Which is most of the specialist positions no in Novartis) It's doable, but I will probably have at least 1 overnight a week or at least every 2 weeks.

I have colleagues that do have part of their old territory, but overall there is significant change. One rep was moved to a completely different area, (First target call would be approximately 1 hour away) but the majority of the new territory is 2+ hours from where the rep lives.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful to still be here, but I believe they did it on purpose to push people out, and get them to find other jobs, then they would not have to pay severance.

    Good Luck to us all

So true...it was done strategically so we'll file hardship..it's their way of pushing us out..I got a new territory, all new customers, I could have easily stayed in my old geography..most people on my team got a new territory, it was like swapping territories with your district mates..you take my territory and I'll take yours..no respect for customer continuity or focus.

i got a family and little ones and now I have to do overnights since they increased the size of the territory..they could have kept me in my old geography instead of switching me with my peer.

You might think 1 over night is not that bad, but you need to think about drive time. Many of you will be putting 50k miles per year on your car.

One of the oldest HR tricks: set you up to fail so you will resign. Then they don't pay severance or unemployment. You are replaced with cheaper, younger, hungrier personnel. They win!

Territories are huge and make no sense for a launch. But I think if we all can hold on till closer to actual FDA approval, then your territories will be smaller, make more sense. Then they will hire a bunch of more reps for actual launch.

I believe that you can put in a request to swap territories if both all parties are in agreement. May make sense, for some of the previous posters, if they have basically got one another's territories. In our area, the territories don't remotely resemble our old geographies. They are much larger, as was expected, because LCZ is more of a specialty drug. I only kept one town but I'm okay with that because the geography is manageable and the bulk of my old territory is in a much larger multi state geography. For many, the travel is going to be extensive compared to what they have now. There is always the option to file for a hardship, but hurry because I think that has to be filed by next week. Good luck to everyone. The only thing constant in pharma these days is change.

F*r's! Couldn't agree more. I have completely new territory. Central part of it is 2hrs away w/o traffic. Ahh, to apply for hardship or not.

Good luck to all w/the choices you make.

We can hope for that. But I doubt that. The days of share of voice are over.

Only time will tell us what the nimrods back East Wil do.

Have to love the smart people that did the mapping. Just what you want for the launch of a new drug. Lost relastionships. Idiots!

You whiner!! Be happy you got a spot, unlike many who would have been happy to have a job! If you don't like it, Leave!

You must be one of the dumb asses in leadership that did the mapping.
