The southeast is miserable under CM. Everyone wants out including ABL's.

This incident needs to be reviewed by the BPO and consequences need to occur. They are attempting to sweep this under the rug. Jobs should be lost and new policies need to be put in place. His actions were a complete violation of why the Code of Conduct exists.
HR - We are not going to let this go away until we see disciplinary actions taken against Matt.

HR and the BPO exist to protect Novartis' interests. Do sense that Novartis has any sensitive to how you feel?

Novartis has no care in the world how we feel. They also do not care about Matt. They want to protect the company and if they ignore what happened in Upstate NY they are not protecting the company. If action is taken against Matt this will prove that Code of Conduct violations will not be tolerated and disciplinary actions including termination will occur. When this becomes a much larger issue then it is today, Novartis will be questioned why no action was taken. If you work for Novartis and currently do not know what occurred in Upstate NY - ASK until you find out. It possibly could happen to you even if you are not in the MSBU

You flatter yourself, thinking that this situation even rises to the level to worry Novartis. They have already shown that they don't give a flip out the code of conduct and have team's of lawyers to prove otherwise. These barely rise to the level of nuisance lawsuits.

You are a self important moron.

Besides, they are laying off most MSBU sales people soon and if you take the Extended Severance Agreement, which you will if offered, you can't practically sue anyway.

I think Novartis doesn't care really care either way. These lawsuits are just the price of doing business / table stakes.

Nothing to report, that type of behavior is common place. My ABL is so feakin miserable because of the abuse he gets from his RD. And guess what? shit rolls down hill. I have never been so stressed and unhappy.

Heard the entire story and Matt is still employed! Reprimanding a rep who DOES NOT want to lie about sales calls. This rep should be commended.

Every rep in the MSBU is LYING about reach and frequency number. You find one, who was the top rep in 2013, that doesn't want to lie and you yell at her so she quits. What are you thinking Matt. You need to look so good with your reach and frequency numbers you forget this is about having a Dr use Gilenya. So reach and frequency is more important than sales?

PC mentality management = spreadsheet data more important than sales.

HR = CODE OF CONDUCT VIOLATIONS ARE NOW ALLOWED IF YOU A REGIONAL BUSINESS DIRECTOR? SO THE CODE OF CONDUCT IS NOT ENFORCED ON UPPER LEVEL LEADERS?

So called "leaders" never get reprimanded. Just look at Conrad. He was having reps flag charts back in his PC days among other things and nothing ever happened to him. And novartis wonders why they lost the largest discrimination law suit in the history if pharma.

If this is true and HR/BPO do not take action against this manager they are putting Novartis at legal risk

HR - you were trying to keep the entire Buffalo situation with Matt S. quiet. It has now leaked out so what are you going to do?Is Matt S. setting the example you want from the ABLs?Is his behavior acceptable in Novartis?Should a long term Novartis employee like Matt S. receive special treatment and are his alleged code of conduct violations not worth reprimand? If anyone outside the MSBU in a position higher than a RBD is reading this please contact someone in Basel to investigate the HR department in the MSBU and why this type of behavior is not punished.

Either everyone is held to the Code of Conduct standards or no one. Can't have it both ways

Ha ha ha....that's funny! This is corporate america (or global) - where the teflon suits are handed out as you move up the chain of command. Maybe they'll 'reprimand' him by moving him up the ladder.

Yeah, and now every sentence from CM begins with complaince, yet his managers are forcing metrics demanded by him that promote non compliant situations.
