If heart failure drug approved, will go to hospital group (aka the serelaxin team that was built). Lot of politics internally. This will not bode well for PC. Predict end of calendar year layoffs.

I thought the hospital group was also being let go? At least according to the poster who seems to be from HQ..

Correct. Serelaxin Group will be sold off. Deal is done. There will be a new team selling this cardia drug. Not PC. Reason? PC reps have for most part zero cardio experience and relationships in Cardio.

I completely disagree about PC's experience in(or your thought of lack of experience) in cardiovascular. Most everyone I know, including myself, have sold Lotrel, Diovan, and Exforge, as well as Tekturna. The PC reps have the CV experience. It's the useless KAMS and PC "Specialists" that don't have any cardiovascular experience or any relationships with the CD's...

Get it through your skull, PC won't be selling this drug. If you think selling Tekturna will help your cause, you are crazy. Haha, you said Tekturna. Dumbass

Instead of calling people names (you fucking douch bag) we should be helping one another in trying to provide information. This company is the enemy, not each other.

The industry has laid off ~ 40,000 or 40% of Reps in the last 4 years with a projected 10,000 more over the next year. Why are they our enemy?

And the stock price goes up and analysts call it a buy!

Gen meds is the ideal choice for selling LCZ if, in fact, it is for internal med and cardiologists. Those of us with over 10 years experience have sold the heart failure and post MI indication for Diovan back in the early 2000's. If it will be the blockbuster Novartis is hoping for, I don't think one rep per city will be enough. Besides, the investment to hire another sales force after laying off all the PC reps, would be a stupid waste of existing resources. No one knows what the future holds for aNy of the divisions so stop acting like you do.

Keep dreaming real selling doesn't = handing out checks & delivering donutz bagelz & pizzaz . Clueless PC dolts. Get a job selling copiers or renting cars for enterprise, you know something more in tune with your skill set

I hope you are right, but this realistically won't happen. Your points don't have much validity either from the view of the company. Selling Diovan in the early 2000s has nothing to do with selling the upcoming HF compound. You sold hypertension, not HF. Your personal credibility was shot in the eyes of your customers once Valturna and the diabetic patient blew up on you. If NVS valued the CV reps, they would never of shown our friends the door a few short months ago. If there was plans for PC future, the previous leadership would not of left by choice and replaced by internal leaders with other responsibilities. Prepare yourself for life after Novartis, don't be blindsided.

If Shaw knows whats she's doing she ll get rid of Jesus and keep the PC field force in place. The best of the best is left after 4 layoffs here..... All thats left out there is garbage that know one wants. Lets not screw this one up by hiring from the outside.
