I Think it has been primary care hell for over a 2 years. Leadership doesn't get it. Morale low, work ethic low, attitudes poor.

A clinical discussion without an ipad, without a manager with you, and the physician actually wanting to meet with you... They were the days you and I made a difference. Now we bring no value and we all just check a box for a paycheck.

The problem is most ABLs and lately most new hires came from Primary Care!!! When will Senior Leadership learn that skills are NOT transferable? Hire tent from other MS companies not Primary Care if we have any chance at all

You're correct. Just look at the ABL from Philly. His team hates him, he treats the team like they have no experience and the PC tactics hurt the business

Your morale should be low. You suck.

I left 1 year ago I was in a leadership position. The main problem is Dagmar has no guts to make changes. She only knows a primary care approach to the business. I came over from primary and realized on day one we need to operate like a biotech company. I feel sad this division could of been amazing but it has failed. I now have a leadership team that listens to its people its refreshing.

Look at Conrad and Matt. PC mentality. They hire ABLs with PC backgrounds. MSBU needs a complete make over but this will never happen because Novartis would have to admit failure.

It isn't about hiring with MS experience, it us about understanding how to sell in specialty. I have MS experience and I've seen strong people and bad people on both sides. The problem is current leadership's plan for winning is to recycle the same tactics they used in PC to cover their lack of ability. One trick ponies. Reach, frequency seems to be their sole way to win. Arrogance or lack of ability - not sure which one it is.

10% Market share at 3 1/2 years post launch for the 1st oral agent is a disgrace. There is no hiding the fact that there was serious mistakes at launch and there are serious marketing flaws today. Getting rid of Randi was a good 1st step. She was well liked but her lack of true leadership skills was apparent. It is now time to clean house with the current leadership. It doesn't matter if the leadership employee has been with Novartis 15-20 years, get them out of MS if they have not excelled in the Specialty environment.

I can't imagine a billion dollar product that could produce an extra $300 million more in revenue per year in the US if marketed correctly and the CEO and other top leaders don't address this lack of sales revenue with a complete gutting of leadership/

I was hired from another MS company. During the interview I was reassured that the new MS Franchise (remember that title) at Novartis was not a big pharma/PC company. I was part of the original force that launched extavia. What a great group of people.
Then it all changed when the big dogs from NPC came over to make the BU successful. What a complete joke. My new manager had no clue, my KAM had no clue and the MSL was useless. I spent more time on conference calls, working on useless business plans, and making sure my so called partner wasn't screwing up the relationships I had while he constantly pissed off the offices with his PC details.
I left 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. It's sad that GYA is so under utilized. What a great product.
I love to see the misery in the BU.

Stop blaming your mgt. why would a Neurologist want to prescribe your pill first line with all that monitoring and AEs. Heck if they are going to take a risk Tec is better. Your drug is maxed out. Tell me, if the company changed the mgt style how would you convince a Neuro to write your drug over Tec and Cop???? Bunch of whiners. The answer is your share would remain the same or continue declining

How many Tec patients are you guys losing every month now due to MRIs anniversaries? Morons enjoy your higher market share while it lasts. In mid 2015 you will be joining Aubagio in last place. Oh and have fun with your 3 reps in a pod with small territory. Idiots!

This sounds like it came from someone who drank the cool aid, or made the cool aid. This totally unrealistic view of the competitive landscape has been part of the MSBU problem for years. Reality vs marketing spin. The real needs of HCPs and patients vs wishful and misinformed thinking. If one admits that the competitor actually has a very good product, that is a useful starting point for forming strategy. Denial of the excellent way that a competitive product fits the needs of Prescribers, their staffs, and patients is failure a priori.

Exactly, and lets not forget that PC people are the only willing to take this position. MS specialist from other companies know better. We are the laughing stock of the DMT's.

Truley sad, this drug stood a good chance, but's its too late now.

Can someone please tell me how ConMc has made it this long in this current PC environment? He's been at it for decades and has been a part of many of the lawsuits against women and other topics that Novartis has lost over the years-yet he survives. Some say he has something on someone-problem with that he has outlasted nearly everyone above that he would have any dirt on.

Making fun of the MS division is so much fun. Watching these clowns trying to fix this mess is great. They have more bombs then Adam Sandler movies.
