If this new HF Product is so good, why not just follow the Diovan marketing model? Why recreate the wheel and spend a ton of time and money trying to figure out how and who should promote it. At times we make it more difficult than it is. Primary Care know the customers, the market, including cardiologists.. and also launched products succesfully. Lets not make more mistakes by thinking we need another sales force to sell it like we have over the last few years.

Primary care just doesn't have the skill sets necessary. This is HF not blood pressure. Now go deliver them bagels and let the adults do the talking.

Good idea! You specialty reps are really blowing out your products

You might be laughing but it's true. For example the probl
in MSBU right now is they hired too many former Primary Care reps who know nothing of the MS business. Instead of hiring MS reps who understand the market place. Gilenya could be at 20 percent market share by now. That is why we should only hire specialty reps for specialty roles. The sale is way too complex for a PC rep to understand.

You are arguing over a drug that is 3 years away at best.

PC reps are good at 2 things delivering bagels & passing out honorarium checks
take those 2 things away & they couldn't sell a free car upgrade at enterprise
let alone a complex med with billing & reimbursement issues
They appear oblivious to the current NVS trend wipe them from existence

I agree. Ask them to explain a simple concept like Buy and Bill or explain how to navigate hospital setting outside Pharmacist and they get a glazed look on their face.

Gileynea is a crap compared to the other competitors (esp Latuda). Number one complaint I hear is the monitoring requirement: not billable and the patient would be wasting a valuable exam room.

Since you are that much better than everyone else, are you dominating the market in hour area?

Well Mr PC rep- first of all Latuda is a Psych med not MS. If you are gonna bash us then first learn basics about market place. Second exam rooms are hardly used for first dose observations. It's either center outside office or if doctor does do it in office it's a profit center. My advice is to learn basics of economics. Third it's "our" not hour. If you are gonna bash us at least learn basics of spelling. Now go lick your wounds donut boy

Ok first off most PC reps have specialty experience and sold reclast which was buy and bill. Second they have relationships with most if not all cardiologists. The problem with just hiring specialty "MR Specialty guy/girl" is that the next MS drug that comes out or similar you are out of here to another company that will pay. You are a hired gun with no loyalty. And just because you sell in a market and know some doctors doesn't mean you are good. Believe me there are good and bad in all positions plus you cost 30-40k more a year and after 1-2 years the PC rep will have the experience. So novartis hires you and in 2-3 years you are gone and then what? The original poster had it correct, use as many PC people as possible, sprinkle in some specialty HF reps to help train and then viola success.

PC reps should only sell PC products. They have ZERO business selling specialty products. Would you ask a linebacker to play wide receiver in the NFL? Nope. Same thing. Stick to PC dude. We are on the same team (NCS) but you don't understand our position. Capice?

What clowns these pc reps are ! they think cuz they sampled blood pressure pills to the occasional cardiologist that played internal med once in a while they are qualified for something other than delivering donuts & checks.
Seriously you tools need to go back to square one & start selling copiers or something
leave complex meds & specialty to the professionals
all 3 of you that are left ( soon to be zero )
