Every RD has had his/her hand on the steering wheel since launch, right?
By now you'd think they would understand this market? Yet here we are driving blind 5 years in! The track record of misdirection over 5 years is worthy of a business school case study in epic pharma blunders. So many! Just to prove it's not just my character flaw as a chronic complainer, I'll let you all list those milestones of brilliance. Take it away...

    Okay. I'll play:
1} We were told not to highlight Gilenya as a pill when it was first launched
2} The Managed Markets team is 3 years too late getting to the discount game - with a 10% share to prove it
3} Same can be said for Gilenya at Home
4} Do we have a Medical Team?
5} My RD never meets with my customers, but the competitors RDs do

    1. direction on field activities is done from a cubicle in New Jersey, not by customer needs in the field.
    2. Blanket, one size fits all direction on programming and messaging. (Or as my lackluster leader calls it....marketing research.)
    3. Lack of FDO sites and solutions at 4.5 years.... But as Kristen said at launch 'tell your neurologists to do it in their offices, it's their responsibility '
    4. Lack of true well respected KOLs used for programming.
    5. Trying to replace live patient programs with on line ones.
    6. Not trusting your sales team to do what's needed to grow their business ( or as it's called 'micro managing')
    7. No leadership at the top....just finger pointing, micro managing and creating a toxic environment.
    8. NOT LISTENING TO ALL THE PEOPLE WITH MULTIPLE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE MS SPACE FROM DAY ONE.....
    9. Third party vendors are a cluster f$ck...
    10. Novartis moves like a one legged tree sloth in adapting to needs and changes..... Too many layers of non sense, do nothing positions and NO one takes ownership of anything here.....they all play nice, pat each other on the back for doing really nothing.......

So there's 10 off the top of my head.......

Does it really matter anymore we are 10% market share drug. We have 2-3 years left to sell this drug. My advise leave soon we have no pipeline. Our new leader stinks and nothing she does will change the MSBU. I laugh 4 years later still talking FDO and market access.

Very well done posters! Now just remember that despite those epic blunders what is needed now is more training on Breakaway selling, more spreadsheets to fill in, more field rides with the people who most annoy your customers, plenty of "positive tension" and more reach and frequency emphasis in your metrics. Please no indendent thought or insightful commentary that might expose our Brand Team strategy, marketing direction, and RDs' complete lack of understanding of our market place.

I wish I could leave before the rocket symposium next week in Philly. I can't beleive this woman is our leader. Go back to working at a Karoake bar Alisha. And to the lip stick Natzi, try not to be such a bitch next week, it's OK to be nice to those that do not control your next promotion to Super Important Nurse Leader.

For those like me that came here for a future, but realize that you ended with the equivalent of an enchilada with a pubic hair in it...see you at the bar.

Now get back to your moon shots bitches!

    Dear Field,

We in marketing and leadership blow. We screwed up probably the best oral treatment on the market in tune to a 10% market share. Sure we didn't listen to the field , the people with MS experience, our KOLs, and people in the MS space. We drove almost every good rep to leave and the ones that are still here are completely miserable. But Moonshots are the answer! Check these boxes and we'll soar on our rockets to a 90% market share! We are best in class and the rocket fuel we give you will "thrust " you into the orbit of success! Really....this time we nailed it! Seriously! Our great ABLs will micromanage you into your own Sputnik of success so all of us can reach for the stars....as a bonus this years award trip will be to the International Space Station so you can observe our inflated egos coupled with our complete failures from 1000s of miles away! Basel......we have a problem!

She is the worst leader at Novartis. Name one good thing she has done for the field force in her 7 months here. She is clueless and bitchy not a great combination. Her moronic lingo of rocket plans and moonshots are embarrassing. Look at the SRF's they are going down since all this crap. I only stay because I do like my ABL.

My ABL has NO social or leadership skills... She's clueless, as most of the ones pulled from primary care are.... I can't wait to get out of here.

Did you see her with him today? Word is he runs the place. Is she so in to herself that she eats up his bs or is she too dumb to run the show herself? hell even his little favorites are bitching and miserable So much for that new culture she dribbles on about

What about the Novartis MS Reimbursement Specialist position? How many of these folks are there nationally? Are they all full time Novartis employees or are some contracted?
Just curious as I'm looking at an open slot and not sure how they operate...
(also are they exclusive to MS products or do they cover others= areas as well?)

Does anyone know how many MSL's support the Novartis MS division? Are they all traditional MSL's... or are some of them Community MSL's? Thanks!!

She's definitely into herself and she loves people who kiss her ass. She's got enough people to do that both in the field and in the home office. she even has someone dedicated to Strategy - of course ex McKinsey because after all, it's Novartis. She's got 1 product to manage - not even a launch- but she can t come up with a brand strategy herself? They can talk all they want about downsizing the field but they should first take a good look at those home office positions.
